I dunno? Did he take it a bit too far? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080725/ap_on_fe_st/odd_mower_madness clembo
If he lived outside the city limits there would be no problem. However, I think he was within the city and they've got him for "discharging a firearm within city limits..."
Betting you're right Ben but just one question. Is this something you do on a fairly regular basis? Dan
If you mean shooting the firearm, then yes. I've had to shoot several times around the house to put down both wild/feral predators and the occasional rattle-snake. By feral I mean a pack of wild dogs killed a sick (penned) calf of ours and I got three of the four before they ran out of range. Take Care Ben
But how many lawn mowers have you bagged?? LOL I can just imagine the outcry over here if the local hunts toook up lawnmower hunting now that fox hunting has been banned or instead of badger baiting lets have mower baiting
There is no crime in shooting at an old/otherwise piece of machinery on your own property. Granted it's not a sober/common practice, but there is an old truck behind our barn in TX which the deer-hunters/brother/me (over the past 40+ years) have practiced sighting rifles in on. They may tape a target on the fender or what's left of it's tailgate. More ecological than shooting a tree... Ben
