Obama meets with the military commanders for the first time Obama announces that Gen Petraeus needs to be a good soldier & do what he's told...by Obama... who has never managed anything or been in a position to lead anything. Anybody else find this audacious on his part? How about ridiculous...dangerous..irresponsible...naive?? Ad this to the list of things that make Obama a threat to our country!!

David how exactly is he suppose to behave? how many politicos do you know of who Do Not change there mind? And lets be honest here it makes no difference what he says now, once the reality of becoming President hits (If he is elected) then it is something else entierly. When in your opinion should he have met the Militery Brass? when he first ran for any form of office, became a senetor, was a candidate who no one thought could win or now when he is a seriouse contender? How many Congress People or other elected officials have met the top Brass? So did he actualy say " Gen Petraeus needs to be a good soldier & do what he's told...by Obama" or is this your interpritation of what he said? No I dont find it in the least audaciouse It's politics
All candidates need and get a military briefing, thats the norm. Obama is over there acting as if he is already elected tho. He is negotiating with foreign leaders as if he has any power? He , as any President would , will have to deal with Congress. Harry and Nancy will NOT let Obama do anything that the far left does not want him to do. Obama is already in line for a whoopin when he gets home, and his far left base is not happy with his position changes. He has promised them an immeadiate withdrawl, that will not happen no matter WHO is President. He will be kept on a short leash by Nancy and Harry IF they keep the jobs and don't get Dascheled out on their behinds. Pelosi is safe, Harry is in trouble. Obama is a blowup doll very similar to those used by drivers to drive in the carpool lane. He is a manufactured product similar to the boy bands and Brittney Spears. No substance, all glam. All show, no go. Did you see him on ABC news the other night? I thought it was the comedy channel. Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman are both fighting for the Monica spot under the desk. I think Matthews has already " been there " actually. The media hype over this " rock star " tour is comical here, I don't know about the UK. I thought the UK was all beside themselves over the latest Amy Winehouse manuevers and not paying attention to anything else
Amy Who!! LOL come on Jack how many politicos have you seen who do exactly the same thing? yep all the candidates will get a briefing but the closer they get to power the deeper that briefing is, same as in the army they dont tell you the nitty gritty bits till you need to know (And not then on occasions LOL) I hate to say this but you guy's honestly have no real idea as to what a real Left wing goverment is, you should have tried living under one LOL How many of your senetors etc go abroad and talk to world leaders? I know it happens here all the time, they get there photo op and a possible headline in the nationals LOL If Obama gets the big seat as you say he has the rest of the system to contend with at worst he will be a lame duck president and at best he might well be a good president.
The point you miss is that Obama has tried to pass himself off as a new kind of candidate...no track record, no accomplishments, no successes...just a non-politician. When should he have met with military brass? Is that a serious question? How about a some point prior to criticizing the commanders & troops and prior to laying out some pretty specific plans for withdrawal. Just another example of him being either reckless & ill-prepared or a straight up moron!! Then, to cut Petraeus' nuts off in front of the entire world is subversive and shows a huge lack of support for our military leadership...we are at war so I find his actions are even more incredulous
David the guy is a politician and he is not the first to have a go at the military nor will he be the last, so he disagrees with the comander in the field well whats new about that? nor will it be the first time it has happend during war time, just take a look back to Vietnam. As for him been a Non Politician rubbish the guy never got to where he is without having some savy, sure he makes promises that he might not be able to keep you show me one who hasnt. I know that you dont like him or his party but they are not idiots and if you think that they are then they will walk all over you, treat them with at least a modicum of respect, they took down the Clinton machine that every paper practicaly in the world was saying was a sure fire thing to win the nomination, do you honestly think that was just luck? The man has charisma wether you like that or not, he appeals to a certain breed of voter, now look at McCain compleat contrast. He reminds me a lot of John F. Kennedy same smile and charm, and he wasnt the mr nice that everyone thought he was either. Personaly I woudnt vote for him as I dont trust people who smile all the time LOL reminds me to much of Blair.
Once again you miss the point entirely (but still help to make mine)!! His lone selling point is that he isn't a run of the mill politician. People jumped on his bandwagon based on that premise alone...a lot of us knew the truth & now it has been proved. Yet somehow, he has managed to keep a lot of his fans???? I don't dislike him because of race, religion, politics, etc..I dislike him because I don't feel like he has been honest & forthcoming with the American people. Simple as that!!
I like how he has made the transition from 'We should pull out because things are so bad.' to 'We should pull out because things are so good.'
Next it will be "We shouldn't pull out because things are so bad" then it will be "We shouldn't pull out because things are so good" Obama: "Change is good so keep watching my website for changes in my belief system and views on national issues"
So perhaps he see's the situation has changed in Iraq? is that a possibility or is he not allowed to have a change of opinion, if in he wants Again I will ask you to tell me what politico is ever honest with the people!! and as for race or religion I dont believe that I mentioned those I will say this though and I have said it before, I do not believe that we should be in Iraq and the sooner we pull out the better even the goverment we helped to create dont want us there!!
Of course he is allowed to change his opinion. In fact, since he is a politician just like all the rest of them, he automatically does that depending upon what crowd he is talking to. Of course they don;t want us there. I am not sure anyone wants us there. I don't want us there. I think what it comes down to for me is if we need to be there. And what would happen if we leave too early.
Well some 200,000 people turned out to listen to him and cheer him in Berlin and yep he did the JFK thing LOL even mentioned RR and the Berlin wall, what can I say this guy knows how to play to a big audience, and he said all the right things OK so the Germans dont actualy get to vote for him but it shows that he has a very wide popularity and also is giving America a much needed bit of good PR across the globe. He even reminded them about the link between the 9/11 bombers and Hamburg in his fighting terror bit of the speach and the need for greater co-operation reminding them of the Berlin airlift and how the US and UK helped them out in there darkest hours LOL. Have to say it again the guy is good, he knows what people want to hear and delivers it, so for those of you out there who say he hasnt got what it takes to be a world leader, think again people, this realy is another JFK in the making
