Whose morals? Humans, Clown...Humans. It an intrinsic instinct embedded in the DNA of Humans. Christ, Clown.
JoeNation, posted: "All I can say is that when you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail. You're deeply into religion and I'm glad it works for you. Generalizing it to all of society is where I see the problem." It is very typical for some folks posting monkey business to make a stupid statement that supports their argument and go on from there. Perhaps a blind, ignorant hammer made in Red China by children might think that way but American hammers are different. That's the answer to the problem. Get the atheist, brain-washed, snowflake and queer loving Commie teachers out of the schools! @JoeNation has given us his resume and his actions and opinions on these forums shows that he and his ilk are perpetuating the problem. _____________________________________________________________________ Liars lie, cheaters cheat, and cowards duck discussions.
I do not advocate teaching religion in our schools. However the message being taught either directly or indirectly is that the lessons taught in the Bible are negative….. And to @JoeNation point about teachers. I couldn’t agree more. My own mother was a teacher for years. She taught the challenged and trouble kids. She exited when she felt that the unwritten role of the parent in child rearing had become obsolete and she was parenting more than she was teaching. I agree with that assessment. Perhaps the question here is why a division exists between left leaning morality and right leaning morality. That strikes me as the real issue here and I don’t know why morals are at odds here. Care and courtesy are the defining characteristics of good morals. Shouldn’t that be what we all model?
JoeNation, posted: "You make my point exactly as I thought you would. I don't like your morals and you don't like mine. So, who are the moral police going to be?" This poster refused to define "morals." I don't believe he even knows what morals are and cannot tell us where morals come from. How does he even know what any member's morals are. IMO, we are posting with an uneducated atheist. That is a worthless waste of time. Especially for me as this cowardly member does not see my posts. He couldn't engage to defend his ignorant monkey business. I WON! "Here is what you don't know. Teachers teach morals every single day in the classroom. They teach kids not to hit each other. They teach kids to respect each other. They teach kids to listen. [ LOL, I told you he does not have a clue what morals are!] They teach a thousand different moral lessons a year. [Perhaps you can tell all of us what 12 of these lessons you are making up are. I don't understand liberal "PAP."]" Joey continued: "Parents[LAZY, UNEDUCATED, BUSY, LIBERAL PARENTS] expect teachers to be babysitters, role models, emotional support, mothers, behavioral therapists, nutritionists, maids, nurses, and a million other jobs that have nothing to do with the ABC's and now you want to add moral training to their exhaustive list of responsibilities? [ Clearly, this unfortunate poster does not understand that he has already written that teachers ALREADY TEACH A THOUSAND DIFFEREN MORAL LESSONS!!!] You clearly are way out of your lane and too clueless [says the poster child for clueless ignorance ] to even realize it.
They teach kids not to hit each other? Really??? Yeah, I think we’ve had enough of your side’s “morals”. Kids are being beaten, abused, molested and raped every day at school somewhere. The pendulum swung to the Left some time ago but thankfully it will be swinging back Right soon.
Very reasoned response. I only wish you and I could discuss issues like this without the extraneous noise from the childish and infantile opinions. I guess that they feel like they need to get their licks in like any bully incapable of self control but that's what we end up with. Imagine two people here discussing something like this issue in a point/counter point debate and not having every useless comment posted purely for personal self gratification mucking up the conversation. What a world it would be. Anyway, I don't think the lessons of the Bible, the Koran, the Torrah, or any other religious texts are taught negatively or even in a bad light. I've never heard anyone say loving thy neighbor is bad or there isn't enough killing or we should smite all of the infidels or anything even close to that. I don't even know what you are referring to when you say the lessons of the Bible are taught negatively. That just confuses me. Having said that, how would you go about teaching Leviticus in public schools anyway??? The Bible teaches some pretty out there lessons if taken literally. Also, what is the difference between left leaning morality and right leaning morality?
Kids are like people believe it or not. They have minds of their own. I was taught to ignore idiots and look at me responding anyway. Some of us just never learn.
Yeah, I can't count the number of times you've posted idiotic liberal information here, rather than simply ignoring it.
@JoeNation asked: "What the hell is going on in our nation?" This proves everything I have been posting about this member. He is totally ignorant about politics and due to his lazy lifestyle he REFUSES TO DO THE RESEARCH to become less of a worthless member. ___________________________________________________________________ Posting with ignorant members is beating a dead monkey. It does nothing.
@JoeNation put me on "ignore." Posting with him is useless. I think members should put him on ignore.
Since most older liberals have been where older conservatives have been, and older conservatives aren't going where older liberals are, I think drawing that contrast is better left to older liberals than to younger liberals or any conservatives.
Warning: This post from a lonely old man who voted to destroy America is worthless: Chin Chin, Stop your usual monkey business and get back into your cage. __________________________________________________________________ Dumping a stupid post in political forum with knowledgeable adults is a waste.
I don’t know. It was a response you had made earlier….. I did not know that a distinction existed until I saw that post. Perhaps it was a response to a previous post that I read too literally. At any rate, forgive the tardy reply. Been a lot at my office to tend to that hasn’t left me with any “fluff” time…… Love your neighbor. Don’t steal. Don’t covet. Honor authority (the literal written word is honor your parents)….. These are all core morals that we can all agree upon, correct? Because I believe that line has been blurred in recent years. And I do believe that is a direct result of the message young people are receiving. And perhaps the teachers are getting a bum rap. These may very well be values they aren’t receiving from their home life. But aren’t we exacerbating the problem (or reinforcing negative behavior) when our leaders go at one another publicly? And again, much to my chagrin, I wholeheartedly agree that Trump played this very game. But my position is that it must stop. And currently, I have to point that finger at Joe.…. Point being, we have to rise above this and Joe is the point man. We have to…. The kids are watching.
Nice post Randy. To be honest, I have been traveling all week. I won't return home until the middle of next week so my responses are probably going to be hit or miss until I return. I would really like to understand more about your take on this topic. You are the only person here that has the ability to discuss issues without all the partisan nonsense. So anyway, I'll post more when I get a moment of downtime. Later dude...I mean Mopar Dude.

You can fool some into thinking you're rational but you can't fool me.
Randy, I managed to stop for a moment in my travels after thinking about your post. The public behaviors of our elected officials has been appalling for years. I can cite Obama being called a liar during a State of the Union address all the way through people in Texas trying to run Biden's campaign bus off of the road. There have been instances of this nonsense on both sides no doubt but they are only symptoms of the greater problem. It isn't our teachers we should be blaming, it is our politicians and these kids parents that are the real problems. If an elected leader behaves badly, it is often a tactic to gain more support and get reelected. Then it becomes our fault for reflecting them. They are simply giving us what they think we want and are often correct. If anything, our teachers jobs have become even more difficult thanks to these politicians and these parents. Kids don't lack morals as much as they lack good role models. Long story short, it is us that are failing our kids, not the education system. So many, many good teachers are tired of the lack of support, the parents that only make their jobs impossible, and they just walk away. Our schools are a symptom of the greater failure of the parents and the people they keep electing. Schools are failing because we are failing them.
I agree, but will go one step further. Just like bad cops find protection, so too do bad teachers . . . from their respective labor representation.
