Just seen a news flash that the EU is going to lift it's sanctions against Cuba in the hope of encouraging the growth of democracy Will the US follow suite I wonder?
Gee, Let's think about this one folks. We have a tiny, island country 90 miles from Florida for starters. They have not been a threat to us since JFK? Half the damn population now lives in Miami via boats (OK I'm exaggerating). But......*****THEY ARE COMMUNIST***** they could overthrow this nation in a hearbeat! RED FLAGS! PANIC! Open the freakin doors. I doubt it would seriously hurt either of our countries.
I think it's really stupid that we have an embargo on Cuba, but pretty much everything in our stores is made in China.
If you've been waiting on me....I agree!! Imagine the demand that would be created for parts for old US cars.
I had actually thought of that as well. They're driving cars from the 50s held together with chicken wire and spit. Could they afford the parts though?
I forgot, it would also open Cuba up so we could go there and get that awesome state of the art medical care that Michael Moore made that movie about. I couldn't resist
