Scamming people out of their hard earned money is a billion dollar industry that grows on a daily basis. Every day I delete texts and emails stating that I have issues with some account or one of my devices. The Canadian Government investigated scams over a two year period resulting in the arrest of a husband and wife who were charged with money laundering. Two years, two people, big deal? The question is, what is being done by the US Government to bring these thieves to justice?
I don't know. My wife, my three sons, and myself all got $400 each this week from a class action lawsuit that held Facebook liable for using our images without our permission. Sounded like a scam but we're collectively $2,000 richer from applying for our share of the settlement. Cha-Ching!!!
Never even once. I'm pretty computer savvy since I made a living working on them as a programmer. I don't fall for stupid tricks and cons. How many times have you been scammed? You sound resentful for some reason.
You crack me up. The answer is never and if you had any insight, you would realize this through my posts. Resentful? You're damn right. The government spends billions on stupid pork yet ignores the plight of the scammed aged. I helped someone avoid being scammed. So, you are a programmer? Why don't you use your skills to help combat scammers or are you not competent enough?
You really have no concept of what you're talking about do you? You sound like a typical old dude screaming at his monitor. It isn't the governments job, nor is it even their platforms that are the problem. Contrary to old people's beliefs, the U.S. Government doesn't run the inter-webs. You remind me of that Republican who said that the oceans are rising because rocks are falling into the sea. Just absolutely no understanding of the topic you are whining about, but isn't whining the real objective anyway? Sure it is.
I notice your blather does not include answers to any question asked of you. Obviously, your emotions get the better of you when you compose a post and you forget the subject to which you are responding. I suggest calming down, think clearly, then write your response.
But you stated many months ago that you were in education and were a Kindergarten Principal or some such
There's an apt twist of words . . . working on a computer while programming unsuspecting college students.
You clearly believe that if the government threw money at the internet, the scamming situation could be solved. You said so yourself. That speaks to how much you actually know what you're talking about. Who would they be throwing money at? Servers? Websites? Random wires hanging out of the wall? Geesh! You just don't have a clue about the subject and you are too proud to admit it and you want to harass me for not answering questions that don't even come from a knowledge base informed enough to even pose a coherent question? Typical dumb ass. Too dumb to know how dumb you are.
Really? So what did you say or is your memory faulty? Failure to respond would, let me think for a minute, indicate you are a troll who gets caught up in his (is this your pronoun?) mis-truths.
Why so hostile? Did I hit a nerve? Regarding the scamming issue and considering how intelligent you think you are, I imagine you would be able to formulate some thoughts regarding steps which could be taken to suppress the scam problem, however, you offer zilch.
I could give a hoot about the loons that call me incessantly and try to convince me that they are the IRS and are issuing an arrest warrant. I scam them back and tell them that they have reached the FBI, please spell your name please...... But these jerks that hit peoples businesses with this ransomware crap because somebody in their place of business opened an errant email? those people should be strung up by their shorthairs. I know of two businesses that have been effectively shut down for days due to that sort of crap. Lord I hate a criminal.
As far as I'm concerned, those parasites who commit online thievery via the keyboad should have their digits permanently entombed in Chinese finger-traps . . . If they want to free their hands, they can chew their damned fingers off! After that, they'd be good for little more than being a paperweight which, if they can't hold down a job, they can at least hold something down.
