Let me make a few predictions: 1) The leaker will be a hero for the leftists. 2) Dems in congress will say that legislation for abortion must immediately be passed. 3) The filibuster must be ended to pass this legislation. 4) The Supreme Court should be packed before the midterm election.
There are so many leaks in DC the city is like a sieve.... But I don't believe I have ever heard of a leak from SCOTUS. And there shouldn't be. This is truly disturbing.

However, on what level is the disturbance of greater concern...that it was leaked, that it was stolen, that it may or may not be the final draft (there is a whole very thick book on that alone), that it may not be the Justice that was assigned the final draft and this may (or may not) be a dissenting opinion, or....that SCOTUS HAS NOT CONFIRMED IT HAPPENED.....and it has been over 10 hours since the Politico announcement. Me? If the leak is confirmed or not....regardless of all of the above....my concern is the immediate greater concern and disturbance to the Constitution and the Federal Republic, is the Timing. A Swing State Primary is in play today: Ohio. So.....

Liberals are working themselves into a lather over this while it may or may not be the final draft. I'll wait to comment until it becomes the law of the land. The leak, however, needs to be investigated swiftly.

OK, so now we know that the leaked draft is real. But, it's not the final decision. I'm glad that Chief Justice Roberts is taking steps to find out who leaked this draft because it certainly is a betrayal of the court. I'm also happy that Roberts said that the leak will not influence the court. So far, so good... Because of the turmoil, I would expect the court to release the final decision soon. I believe, and time will tell, that the GOP just sunk its chances in the midterms. Winning issue you say? I guess we'll see, but based on poll after poll, a clear majority, over 70%, do not want to see Roe v. Wade overturned. Let's see if that translates into a winning issue is November.
You and I had discussion a while back about what drives voters. My argument was that voters do in fact vote their pocketbook and your position was that voters in the 21st century were more concerned with more esoteric issues...... Well, Joe I'll bet you my bottom dollar that this November will in fact be decided by the common guys pocketbooks. They sure have taken a beating since January 2021.
Abortion is low on voters’ concerns. If Roe is overturned, most people won’t care because they know that the abortion issue will be returned to the states where it belongs. The economy, jobs, etc. are much more of a concern for most people and, consequently, a red tsunami is coming in November.
