So the RNC can no longer handle debates

I know that the RNC claims that the debates are biased and that they are held too late in the election process and about one thousand other complaints, but I'd like to point out that this debate format has worked for both sides for over thirty years. It hasn't seemed to favor either side in any substantial way. Fine, change the format if you think you must, but change it to what?

That is the questions that the RNC has yet to answer. If you can be sure of anything, it will be that whatever format they decide on, there will be zero consideration of bias, fairness, or any of the other complaints they are currently leveling against the current presidential debate commission.

Mark my words. The excuses they use today will have no part in forming a better debate environment in the future. They only thing they are seeking is advantage. Will the DNC play their game? Doubtful. Just one more brick in the wall of divisive political behavior by the RNC.

BTW Will they even have a platform anymore? Seems like they just want to run on, "Hey, vote for us. We'll tell you what we stand for when we get elected".

 

Why do I think that we're about to see the Fox News Presidential Debates in the near future?

 

Get a truly unbiased moderating panel / moderator, and you Democrats are going to get creamed, no matter what time of year the debates are held.

 

I can see it now. Trump standing up there calling his opponents childish names.

 

He's not my first choice, but you Democrats didn't field a better qualified candidate than Trump in either of the past two presidential elections, and it's not looking good in the future either.

 

For someone who once said that he never wanted to hear the name "Trump" ever again, you certainly say "Trump" a lot.

 

It's hard to be worse than an anti-democracy authoritarian so I'm going to go with the idea that you have no damn idea what a qualified candidate looks like.

Just to make certain I am keeping up, is the subject the 7 debates that the communist socialists rigged by knowing the questions, or the moderators deliberately staged the questions in favor of the communist socialists, or the moderators that deliberately favored the time clock by skewing it in deference to the communists socialists ,or the moderators deliberately framed questions using factual lies by interjecting the Soviet element that wasn't as a less than patriotic manner skewed in favor of the communist socialists, or the 2 debates where the communist socialists were granted free rein to frame their own questions via an answer to the moderator, and then the moderator interjected and presented the same communist socialist question to the opposing debater as if it was the moderator's question, or maybe it was the debate that the moderator allowed the communist socialists to stroll around the stage but when the opposing debater did it, the moderator opined and suggested it was physically intimidating?

Is that what is being discussed? I want to make sure before I commented.

Or, was it the debates where all the moderators had donated to the coffers of the communist socialist debates but none of the moderators had donated to the opposing debaters? I want to make sure before I comment.....

A Proper Passing for Communist Socialists: Die on Christmas.

 

I wish that all this nation needed from the President of the United States were politeness and decorum, @JoeNation. Unfortunately, we have much more pressing needs. Not only are politeness and decorum not at the top of the list . . . they are not on the list at all.

I don't expect this, but maybe . . . just maybe . . . when you figure out that you can't have your cake and eat it too, you'll figure out that you've been supporting the party of lying charlatans all these years.

 

I hear this justification all the time. That and, "Trump had mean tweets". What a total load of BS that excuse is. I never hear anyone complain about "politeness and decorum" when it comes to Trump, but I do hear plenty of people accurately point out Trump's attempted coup on January 6th, his pandering to Putin, his outright lies and corruption, his lack of intelligence, his nepotism, his election fraud phone calls we have recordings of, his pension for lining his own pockets at the expense of the tax payers, his non-stop golf outings while in office, his pardoning of his own corrupt henchmen, his stealing of classified documents, his seven and a half hours of missing White House phone call records, he and all of his associates with Russian connections, the corrupt business he headed for decades, the sleazy porn star affairs, the cheating on all of his wives,.... I mean, where does this list begin and end? Certainly not with a simple matter of mean words but an actual endless trail corruption and deceit. So please, trying to obfuscate all that Trump is as just a few mean words is pathetic at best, blindly partisan self-delusional stupidity at worst. That's on you, not me. He owns your party and you are stuck with him. Well deserved I'd say.

• Attempted coup on January 6th . . . Evidence of premeditated arrangement, organization or instigation? None . . . crass gloating about his popularity, most assuredly.
