Back again to this same circular argument when the whole time the answer is as plain as the nose on your face….. Effort is rewarded by compensation and it works for men, women, gay, white, black, red and everyone that does it. No new age math or method will change that. You work, you eat. Been that way since the dawn of time.

The Socialists argument is that people who are born poor are destine to stay that way courtesy of the rapacious White Supremacist. Let's hear what Dr. Friedman has to say...

I finally watched that. He never said that the questioner was wrong and even leaned into the idea that we are "family" society rather than an "individual" one. There's no solutions for those that start with a lower family situation, and the idea that parents are sure their children will make more money than them no longer holds water.

Perhaps the market needs to adapt to accomodate the individual society we have become rather than the family society we leave in the past

    1. Of course Dr. Friedman said he was wrong! What do you think "...will destroy a continuing society..." means? o_O

    2. "No solutions for those that start with a lower family situation"?! That's what Constitutional Freedom is all about! ...allowing ANYONE with ambition to leapfrog anyone else! History is replete with examples.

    2. Parents, not trusting that their children will be better off than they were, doesn't "hold water" only because Democrat policies made it that way. If you don't like the results, stop voting for it!

Let’s get some context to this statement, you know, the Paul Harvey version.
    Republican vs Democrat US counties:
    upload_2022-4-13_19-11-7.jpeg

Now let’s look at black poverty by US counties:

Let’s go a step further. Violent crime rates by US counties:

    See any pattern???

The desire for government services seems concentrated in Urban areas...and other areas without developed community support structures.

Genuinely, not really. There seems to be a distribution of poverty in both.

Maybe try to find something with actual numerical data to compare, here for instance is a child poverty rate by urban/rural split

    PovRatesUrbanRuralChildr.gif

    https://www.prb.org/resources/poverty-is-a-persistent-reality-for-many-rural-children-in-u-s/

While not by any means a perfect proxy, urban/rural can roughly translate to Democrat/Republican in most areas. Pretty imperfect though because suburban can go either way, but you get the idea of what kind of data I might find convincing. If you want to go through those maps and make an argument about the number of people/counties/etc. in poverty be my guest, but that's could be a lot of work if you count it all by hand.

A much more compelling illustration of poverty migration indicates its attraction to "progressive" counties . . . in my words, poverty follows the invitation to dependency.

Welfare is an insidious political trap. It's impossible for most people on Welfare to command a higher income than they can from a combination of Welfare and working under-the-table (tax free). It's estimated that our under-the-table shadow economy represents $1 Trillion of untaxed revenue. That amount is MUCH greater when criminal activity is included. The Fair Tax collects these uncollected taxes. ;)

If we simply pass H.R. 25 (S.18) "The Fair Tax of 2021", Urban centers will turn a Brilliant shade of Republican Red...as minority poverty and unemployment fades away! :)

I’m sure your deep seated delusion will make you want to dismiss this numerical data also.

The Left, in wanting to address the effect, turns a blind eye to the cause, not only perpetuating, but exacerbating the effect.

Since you asked my thoughts. I think that's a laughably obvious piece of propaganda full of weird framing of history, pushing self-serving messages, and driving the point home with striking imagery and scary sound effects. To top it all off, it has a Catholic lean and was made by EWTN, a group the Pope described as "the work of the devil" for frequently eroding confidence in the papacy amongst Catholics

The Constitution says absolutely nothing about labor unions. Since you don't believe that the Constitution can be changed, it seems that labor unions not being mentioned can't possibly make them unconstitutional.

    Checkmate.
