Addressing the subject here folks a lot of people did put weight on in the past year and a half. Gyms being closed etc. surely contributed to that.
That and working from home where one is free to snack to one's content.

Still, as a society, we do have a lot of unnecessarily overweight people. Fast food galore and let's face it, as much as we complain about costs of food we have it so much better than most. Food is readily available and a lot of that is junk.

Kids eat junk all day and don't exercise as they used to. A pattern develops early.

I have personally been as heavy as 230 and that's way too much for my 5'11'' height. I now fluctuate between 160-165 occasionally going higher due to water retention which my cardiologist monitors.

Due to medical issues I really can't get nearly the exercise I used to. I keep it off with a healthier diet and believe me I'm not starving.

 

It's a health disaster and needs to be taken seriously.

 

Should have thought about that before refusing kids their athletic seasons, keeping them out of schools which provide nutritional lunches (at least better than the ones I got)

maybe some of us thought about that. I know I for sure did. But, once again, understanding cause and effect isn’t exactly a Democrat trait

 

bear in mind this overlapped both administrations.

 

Yep, maybe for the first 5 months.
