The overall trade deficit is a function of many bi-lateral or tri-lateral agreements. I jumped into the USMCA as the blueprint for the policy President Trump pursued. Our trade deficits with both Mexico and Canada have been growing ever since NAFTA was implemented. The USMCA reverses that trend, but has only been in effect for 14 months and Democrats are returning to policies that will, once again, drive manufacturing and jobs overseas. Liberals don't care about "the" environment...they only care about "their" environment.

You should cut out the middleman and invite your wife to join us. If she thinks like you do, I would really like to have a chat with her. ;) You just talk about the effects of policy (which is important), but it's not the policies themselves.

You don't seriously believe a California poll, do you? :D

If you look at your poll closely, those percentages only from the 51% of respondents who picked either "Yes" or "No". 49% of the total chose either "Undecided" or "Won't vote". That's a boatload of votes that can swing the election either way. You better get Joe Biden out there to campaign! ;)

California deserves Newsom. He's turning California into America's "Gaza Strip".

In a State that is 2 to 1 Democrats over Republicans the vote turns out to be 2 to 1 against recalling the Democrat. It has to be rigged. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!! :D

If Democrats are really so good at rigging elections that they can win by 30 points and leave no traces of fraud, then I want those people in power over the incompetent Republicans that seem to get nailed over and over for election fraud. Why would we want to go with the incompetent boobs?

One of the problems with politics can be solved quite easily...by making "performance art" Public domain after three (3) years. ;)

That means FREE TV for everyone! How progressive is that?! This one stroke of a pen would reduce considerably the amount poor folks have to pay for electronic entertainment. :)

How about tax free corporations? Why should they have to pay taxes? Oh that's right, they don't. How about we make teachers pay for their own school supplies and we give tax breaks to people with private jets? Oh yeah, we already do that too. I know, why don't we subsidize the oil industry because they are already the wealthiest industry on the planet? Damn! We already do that too. This is going to be tough.

Corporate tax is double taxation. A corporation is just a piece of paper. When you tax a corporation AND its shareholders, your taxing the same income twice. Besides, you're not taxing the corporation, you're taxing the economy. All your doing is draining capital from the economy. I see such a contraction in economy activity now due to COVID. All this Fed stimulus and irresponsible spending just delays the inevitable.

Every economist tells us that that, each point our Debt to GDP ratio rises above 0.77, the economy contracts 1.7%. Our current Debt to GDP ration is 1.27.

The current Administration follows the "crazy" Modern Monetary Theory (MMT).

How Does Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) View National Debt?
Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) is a heterodox macroeconomic framework that says monetarily sovereign countries, like the U.S., need not rely on taxes or borrowing for spending since they can print as much as they need and are the monopoly issuers of the currency. Since their budgets aren't like a regular household's, their policies should not be shaped by fears of rising national debt. They argue that, since these sovereign nation have the ability to print as much of their own money to service their debts, they cannot ever go bankrupt, which would make ratios, like debt-to-gdp useless.

I think anyone who's ever posted on CT (regardless of political affiliation) can attest to the craziness of MMT. o_O I truly believe that the people behind this Administration have lost contact with Planet Earth.

    Little Joe,

    Sigh.....

Solution: Don't pay your taxes. Don't heat your house. Don't use any fossil fuels. Don't drive a car. Don't use the internet. Don't use Amazon. Don't use your cell phone or landline. Don't use any services from the electric grid. Don't use water from the municipality that serves you. Don't watch TV. Don't listen to the radio.

After all, YOU as a citizen and/or resident of this Federal Republic are being subsidized for ALL these items.

Report back in 60 days, if you make it that far.

But, please, don't be a dumazz and display your ignorance of, and stupidity of, the hidden benefits you have and enjoy in our Federal Republic.

Another solution: have your fossil fuel shipped in from Europe. It won't be cheaper, but you might be happy, without having to resort to trumterbation.

You truly guzzle the far Right Kool-aid. Many large corporation pay zero in taxes no matter the tax rate. Good thing they have shills like you to brainless defend them.

At least 55 of the largest corporations in America paid no federal corporate income taxes in their most recent fiscal year despite enjoying substantial pretax profits in the United States. This continues a decades-long trend of corporate tax avoidance by the biggest U.S. corporations, and it appears to be the product of long-standing tax breaks preserved or expanded by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) as well as the CARES Act tax breaks enacted in the spring of 2020.

Pay attention, to the above, Little Joe, instead of repeating stupidity. Go stand in the corner until we call you.
You scream ATTICA over an over, you may become popular in the showers.
