Oh man, I've been struggling with this comment. Why did you say it? Like, did I miss some context where that came up? In any case, why the homophobia? There's no need for that.
“Tonight’s withdrawal signifies both the end of the military component of the evacuation but also the end of the nearly 20-year mission that began in Afghanistan shortly after Sept. 11, 2001,” said Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, who leads U.S. Central Command. McKenzie added that he can say with 100% certainty that every single U.S. service member is now out of Afghanistan and that there were no evacuees left at the airport when the last U.S. flight left Kabul. Now what are you going to cry crocodile tears about?
Just for full disclosure, I had the distinct honor and privilege to serve this Great Nation. That Lowlife Vindman did the same thing and lied under oath to Congress yet was held on high by the left. This is an example of the entrenched partisans in our military. They do us no service, they only exist to further their own interests. The Lt Col that you referenced spoke out against these same type of individuals regardless of his Life, Fortune, and Scared Honor. I believe he took his oath seriously and was going to do his duties no matter the consequences. If leadership is endangering the lives of Americans or dismissing the Constitution, he has a responsibility to go through the chain of command. If those in the chain are the offenders, he exercised the only option left. Tell the real bosses, the US citizens.
So none of our troops or citizens are left at the airport. Good. Now, how about all the US citizens abandoned behind enemy lines. WE DON’T LEAVE OUR OWN BEHIND. If you approve of leaving them behind, you have no concept of the Military Oath.
Concur. But, unlike LT.COL. Vindman (and his brother) this LT. COL. did go through the Chain of Command, was snubbed on 3 occasions, and honorably resigned before speaking publicly, and he informed his Chain of Command, including POTUS, that he was going to do so. For consideration of my thoughts, I will mention that I had the same honor and privilege. All The Way.
Back at you. I am sure the pleasure that we both enjoy of still being vertical, is due in no small part of what we were taught by that Service to the People of the U.S. I never forget that. It was one hell of an education that cost me Zero Dollars, and still benefits me. I'm good.
It's not about homosexuality. It's about the underlying mental health condition that leads to it. That's what we have today...a bunch of mentally ill people (aka. Snowflakes) trying to convince everyone that they're normal and the rest of the natural world is crazy.
Good on you. You can bet and win hands down that the offers have been flooding his email/cellphone since earlier today.
As an aside. I am ex-military. I tried for three years to hire veterans with no luck. There is a wall of bureaucracy between departing veterans and those of us that would like to hire them….. It is a message for a different thread but I was skunked in my efforts to hire veterans.
Maybe you can hire an Afghan refugee? Serious post. We have some Yemenis at our plant and they're nice people.
I would have absolutely no compunction with that…. My efforts to hire a veteran were entirely selfish. I know how the military trained mind works and I can train that to my business.
There's a bit of a taboo against companies luring away the military's best talent. A government contractor can put their business in jeopardy if they step on the wrong toes.
