Biden's press conferences remind me of "responsive reading" in church.

You seem anxious to pin this situation on your political enemies. Biden inherited this problem and he was the 3rd president to do so. If you actually thought this was going to go smoothly under any president, I'd like you to consider a bridge I'm selling. It's in Brooklyn and I can give you a heck of deal. Funny, for all of Trump's bellicose pronouncements about Afghanistan, all he ended up doing after four years is signing a peace agreement with the Taliban and promised that we would be out of Afghanistan by spring which conveniently meant he didn't have to do anything. I'm sure that you'd rather have his lying ass running this mess. Right? No one was going to pull this sh*t show off without consequences. You're just happy that Trump didn't have the courage of his convictions. Now you get to throw barbs at the one guy that actually showed the courage to do what had to be done. We all wanted it to be done. You're not coming off as much else other than a miscreant after the fact. Would you rather we stayed in Afghanistan? Now there is a question I suspect none of you will care to elaborate on. It puts your opinions in perspective. Tell us why you want to be in Afghanistan endlessly? How many kids are you willing to sacrifice? THERE IS NO MILIARY SOLUTION. Private bone spurs sure didn't do anything during his tenure to prevent this.

It's what he's doing with the other hand that worries me! ;)

Excuse me....factoid. The 11th POTUS. Carry on.

Let me know when you get tired of blahblah, and want to discuss serious factoids, because I am slightly weary of having to rein in your non-factoid embellishments. I am old, my mind wanders, and I want to be useful before you spit on my grave.

"Hey, Hey, LBJ, how many kids did you kill today"?

Nothing new under the sun, JoeN. Your tear jerker guilt accusing attempt to present logic to your argument didn't work then and it won't work now.

When a person relies on platitudes and attitudes to present a cogent position, that isn't being cogent. It is being an emotional bully.

The rest of your post....I have nothing to comment about, because, as usual, it is gobbledegobbledness, and sounds good out loud, like Victory, and then....poof.

Was I the only person that didn’t feel like the President sounded confident in his address?

Biden abandoned our people when he made his initial decision. He hasn't denied it. "They were warned"

I do not enjoy watching ANY POTUS in a crisis and rolling shoulders forward, slightly bent. It is a Tell.

When he received what was to be the last question from the Fox representative, I hurt and mentally beamed the instruction to simply state "Yes, I am the President, and I accept all responsibility for the death of any member of the Military, because I am the Commander in Chief. I am going now to the Oval Office to call their families individually". AND THEN STAND STRAIGHT AND LEAVE THE STAGE. In other words, BE PRESIDENTIAL, DAMNIT!!! Don't be Wilson.

The moment he started talking about the previous administration and time lines and who did what and who didn't do what, I had an AFib reaction. I was watching my President collapsing in front of the World Stage. I am very sad about this incident.

That too struck me sideways. I didn’t like hearing Trump when he would talk about the mess he inherited…. The buck stops with me, BUT…… This does not project strength. And yeah, standing there slumped shouldered projected exasperation and defeat. His handlers need to do some coaching.

He was absolutely failed, by his own Team. I would fire every S.O.B., starting with the Chief of Staff, and ending with a hell of a big bang directed at Jan. She is the orchestrator and director of that entire fiasco, as she has been so many other times.

I am SO TIRED of any American talking bullshit and dividing Americans from other Americans in a time of crisis, with stupid words and discussing subjects with incorrect "facts" designed to divide and conquer. I note the infantile posts by the member frydaddy, and I excuse this ignorance because it is deliberate attention seeking. I do not extend the same personal leeway to JoeNation, who is just determined to be the divider, and when faced with factoids and reasonable presentation of opinion, resorts to elementary school squabble language, when challenged.

When all of us allow ourselves the indulgence of lapse of honorable constructive conversation, and surrender to an us against them attitude, what the hell does anybody expect to happen when the 1st NVA decides to come over the Hill?

    Savvy??
