It's clear Joe Biden has no idea what's going on. He can barely get through the teleprompter before he's hustled out of sight. Kamala Harris is obviously not in charge. So...who's running things? The Biden Administration is full of Obama holdovers. Is Barack Obama the acting President? Is Obama America's "Putin"?

He’s begged OPEC to increase oil production and they gave him (and the rest of us) the middle finger. We have and can produce more oil than the Middle East and do so more efficiently and environmentally cleaner. Maybe he shouldn’t have reversed the previous administration’s policies that made us energy independent? Energy independence is a national security issue. Inflation is increasing, yet the left cries for more spending...... AND It’s only been 7 months.

Perhaps, but time has proven me right far more often than not. I'm wrong once in a while...that's why I don't fall in love with my opinions....except for my opinion of the Constitution.

If you ever work in government, you'll realize that bureaucrats at the top jump from one job to the next with few having any real understanding of what's going on beneath them. I spent at least 10% of my time writing "Status Reports". No one ever read my reports; they needed them handy in case anything went wrong...to prove they know (or don't know) what's happening...whichever helps them politically. Government "governance" is a mess...especially at the top.

The underlying concept of the U.S. Constitution is Public oversight of government. Since 1971, the advent of unconstrained spending and debt has the Public convinced they can have anything they wish at no cost to themselves (personally). As the Constitution deteriorates, we're losing our national soul and pride.

The comment I was responding to, was your mention of the advent of unconstrained spending had roots in 1971.

I was referring to the Adams increased spending when he came into office, which led to the passage by Congress of the Direct Tax Act, in 1798. We have never looked back.

I trust I don't have to explain the Scrooge McDuck metaphor, unless you were completely sheltered from any contact with the outside world, in any manner, when you were a child. if that is the case, I want to state here and now, "I care. Here is a hug".

You hit the nail on the head, Charley! ...direct taxation. It was illegal at our founding and continued being illegal until the passage of the 16th Amendment. Many laws were passed, but they were all struck down by the Supreme Court until the Constitution was amended. The destruction of our currency is just a natural economic result of the 16th Amendment. The 16th Amendment has destroyed Public oversight of government and must be repeal if we hope to save America.

H.R. 25 (S.18) "The Fair Tax Act of 2021" does exactly that! The date keeps changing with each new Congress, because neither Democrats nor Republicans will even bring it up for debate. Why? ...because it destroys the Political Mafia we've let take over our country. Anyone who objects is labeled a "Racist" and an "Enemy of the State" by the "woke" media.
