It is true that faith can't be judged by scientific standards. But one can't "decide" to have faith. Faith is God's gift. I can believe all I want that being a Christian is the best way to go (and I do), but unless I KNOW that, contrary to all human logic, Jesus triumphs over the power of sin and death, I don't have faith. That knowing, which cannot be explained by human standards, while believing can be, is faith.

Sorry. I preached on this topic two Sundays ago. Consider yourself lucky that I didn't cut and paste the entire sermon.

I know it do. know it's there.

I'm not sure on the theory, but, Evolution is a scientifc fact. Kinda like gravity.

NOTE: I don't belive, I know it's happens. A belief is just something you hope happens.

Rather though than think it's God playing "mind games", another way to approach it that it might be the devil putting those things out there, or such to lead people away, or to discredit God. ;) I'm not saying that is the case here, but it's something that should be asked before pointing the finger at God IMHO. ;)

Personally, I think everyone is trying to read too much into the evolution and God connection. Just accept it. :) Me, I can accept the fact God provided the environment and the varied creatures which thrive within it. Mankind in general, however is different, we are virtually all the same and we were given a gift. The gift of foresight, hindsight, and the ability to reason.

These gifts from God gave us the ability to haft tools, from a sharped tree limb to a **photon (Anti-Matter) powered spaceship. This along with being able to form complex communities where the learned skills of many help all the members. Tools and ideas to control and change our environment which then inturn (I susspose) makes adaptability or (evolution) to some happen. Call it what you want but make no mistake we've changed over the past couple of million years or so. ;) The final aspect of humanity (to me) would be considered sacrilege if not provided when our friends and family depart this life, yep the act of burial. I think the leaping point where early man turned into modern man was when we began burying our dead and providing rites along with this service. This required a complex form of thinking along with emotions.

We all know any living creature will adapt to the environment it's placed in given that the changes are slow enough and the opportunity to reproduce isn't removed. Man, did more than this and that is what makes us different.

Thats great that you can accept it...I have been trying to do it too....however, I just can't see how the bible can go with evolution...

Maybe it wasnt the christain god......maybe a god does exist, but if there is one, it is one human has not thought of yet.

Why not? Me, on the other hand, I can't understand how people can not believe.

And Muslim can't see why you don't believe in their god...

    see how it works....

But as far as evolution goes, I can't see how god and evolution can go together, because I haven't heard of a way that they can...

If you check out the Koran you will see there are a number of similarities between the faiths they believe in Jesus not as the son of God but as a Phrophet.
Allah is just God in a different languge, same as I believe "Yahweh", "Yahveh" and "Jehovah", the Rastafarians call God "Jah" The Zulu name for God is "Nkosi Yezulu" It is not the names that matter as the differnt interpritations that people have for there own religiouse sect.
All the names mean the same thing GOD

But The deal is that there is no Lukewarm in Christianity.
The Bible says God created man, what position are we in to decide what parts of the bible we want to read and don't want to read?
