Bruce Rauner, Governor-Elect of Illinois - Who Saw That Coming?

To be honest, I never expected a Republican to win the governorship of Illinois during Obama's reign. After all, this is Obama's home state fer chrissake! This was probably the most shocking outcome of the entire election! Seriously, just look at all the red:

 

wow, even Chicago is red. Kansas City (where i am) still voted for Cleaver.

 

Yes, indeed. A wave of conservatism overtook the country. What caused it? That's easy to answer. It was backlash against Obama's foolish liberal policies and the willingness of the Democrats to support them. Now, let's make sure that same wave continues through 2016. We've got to hammer the Democrats continuously from now until then and keep reminding the voters that it was Obama and the liberal ideology that got us into this mess.

 

Hmmmm.. I figured we would hear from some of our members from Illinois regarding this.... what gives?
