With all the criticism of the people that brought us the Iraq War and all the criticism and blame for the current Iraq /Middle East conflicts being directed at those that were against the Iraq War to begin with, what would your solution be to the Middle East that has been at war for thousands of years? It seems that everybody finds it easy to criticize both sides but when it comes to an actual solution, not one suggestion. If there is no solution, then that ought to dictate our actions. If there is a viable solution, lets hear it. Long-term, short-term, any term solution you have is welcome. My guess is that this is going to be a very short thread. While we are the kings of criticism and barons of blame, we tend to despise any threads that actually discuss solutions to problems.
If there is a solution to the problem it's going to come from the people who live there, not from us. All we do is create power vacuums and displace and kill innocent people along with offing an occasional bad guy here and there. Then we end up trying to fill these vacuums ourselves, or they are filled for us by corrupt and ineffectual opportunists.
1.) Change the National Anthems of all Middle Eastern countries to "Kumbaya" 2.) Require every child born in the Middle East to be given hippie names like Sunshine and Moon Unit 3.) Introduce multilevel marketing to the region so any terrorist attack or war will be perceived as diminishing their potential customer base. 4.) Get them hooked on fun meals
It seems to be better if we are the bad guys. They love to draw us into their conflicts so that they don't have to be accused of killing each other. I say let them kill each other for a while and contain their madness to the region. If a snake emerges from the chaos, cut it's head off with a drone.
I don't think the administrator wants me to post videos of people having sex, so I went with the men in monkey suits singing a song instead. Knowing Pete, and not knowing the new mod (GhostX), I think that was the right call. Don't you agree?
