Did you catch this story? http://news.msn.com/us/clinton-says-pair-dead-broke-after-white-house Even on a $400k/yr salary? Even with the taxpayers paying most of their expenses? Even being Ivy League educated lawyers? She can't even manage her own household...
Is Hillary still around? Your Benghazi thing should have destroyed her months ago. Oh well. Never give up.
The Republicans are going to have to get their story straight on this one. Is Clinton an out of touch rich liberal whose family owned mansions and was collecting massive speaking fees during the period in question, which implies that she was talking out of her ass when she said they were dead broke? Or is she a financially inept bungler who was unable to balance her household budget and the massive legal fees her family paid in order to fight off the right wing's ankle-biters, and thus went broke and shouldn't be trusted with the country's finances? I don't think the two narratives are compatible.
Here Are The Two Multi-Million Dollar Mansions Hillary Says She “Struggled” To Pay Mortgage On June 9, 2014 In an interview with Diane Sawyer, Hillary Clinton claimed that after the White House their family “struggled..to piece together the resources for mortgages, for houses.” The “we struggled to get by” defense from a multi-millionaire might be tough to swallow for Americans actually struggling to pay their mortgage. Hillary, after-all, left the White House having spent 20 years living in gratis government mansions in Little Rock and Washington D.C. Additionally, lets not forget that Bill Clinton’s annual salary was $200,000/year as President and he was able to cash-in on a $50,000 expense account. The Clintons made roughly FOUR times what the average American made and “struggled to get by.” After leaving the White House, the Clintons bought two multi-million dollar mansions. They bought this $1.7 million mansion in Chappaqua, NY so Hillary could claim residence in the state ahead of her 2000 Senate campaign. Why would schizophrenic hypocrisy be anything new for these Right wingers? They always want it both ways and always fail to see the contradiction. I'm just used to watching these yahoos mangle every talking point, fail to apply logic to any issue, and openly display only blind ignorance. You might wonder why I don't bother treating them like rational adults. They aren't. You've had a few "debates" with the likes of rlm. Did you conclude as I have that there simply isn't a functioning brain cell in his head? You can apply all the fairness, the lack of blanket statements, and any other use of logical debate you want, I'm simply going to keep needling them and having fun. That's all this place is about. Don't harsh my buzz man. One thing that drives both Right wingers and some Left wingers nuts is arrogant, pretentious, know-it-all Left wingers. Take a step down and enjoy this place for what it is and stop hovering above it. You make good points and have some clever retorts but you take this place way too seriously. There! Now I have lectured you. Ha! We're even!
Where's the contradiction? The Clinton's are millionaires who can't pay their bills. They live above their means. They spend more than they take in. That makes them deadbeats!
In my book of definitions a deadbeat is one who doesn't pay their biils. I don't think Hillary said anything about not paying their bills.

Rand Paul on Hillary’s ‘Dead Broke’ Comments: Take Your ‘Sad Song’ To the American People By: Charlie Spiering (Breitbart)Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) criticized former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for complaining that she was “dead broke” after they left the White House. “I mean, there is a lot of Americans struggling, if she wants to come to Eastern Kentucky to my state and talk to miners who are out of work and see the despair in their faces and talk about her personal plight as being the poor spouse of a president, she is welcome to take that message around the country,” Paul explained. Paul pointed to Hillary Clinton’s $8 million book deal that she signed before the pair left the White House--as well as reports of the couples net worth of over $100 million. “The sad song of her reporting her personal financial difficulties and the fact that she hasn't driven herself in a car in 17 years, it doesn't sound like she’s going to connect with a lot of the Middle Class,” he said. http://nation.foxnews.com/2014/06/1...comments-take-your-‘sad-song’-american-people
Political posturing by a 1%'er hoping to get in close with the Occupy crowd. Maybe she could take a few hints from Eleanor next time she channels a Roosevelt about how to get away with wearing a mink coat while working a soup line.
