Well, of course you do. They were plastered on every website imaginable and on every liberal's dorm room wall in the country. Of course, they were just propaganda tools (albeit effective ones) and anyone with a brain could have seen that at the time. Joseph Goebbels would be proud.

But, what really happened with HOPE and CHANGE? The key demographics who were listening to the lies and supporting Obama in 2008 and 2012 have evaporated. Obama's poll numbers today stand at near-record lows for any president during the same time in their presidency. The country is still in the midst of a recession, race relations have not improved, foreign policy is in the trashcan, the "transparent administration" has turned out to be one of the most secretive in our nations's history, scandals have rocked this administration from their flubbing of the handling of Benghazi to Fast and Furious, to the IRS and NSA scandals to the disastrous rollout of Obamacare and the revelation that Obama lied through his teeth about you being able to keep your doctor.

If this is the HOPE and CHANGE you voted for in 2008 and 2012 then you were handed a bill of goods. Don't be so stupid to vote for liberals this year or another liberal when 2016 rolls around.

When the Republican party starts running something other than bald-faced plutocrats (Romney), chowderheads (Cain, Perry), and bigoted lunatics (Santorum, Bachmann), they'll be a viable alternative to their sometimes slightly less repulsive opponents.

The problem is that if you aren't any of those things, you're already a Democrat. :D

The U.S. economy added 288,000 jobs in April, as the unemployment rate fell to 6.3 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. unemployment rate plunged in April to its lowest level since September 2008 as employers added 288,000 jobs, the most in two years.
The figures are a clear sign that the economy is picking up after a brutal winter slowed growth.
The Labor Department says the unemployment rate fell to 6.3 percent from 6.7 percent in March. But the drop occurred because the number of people working or seeking work fell sharply. People not seeking work aren't counted as unemployed.
Employers also added more jobs in February and March than previously estimated. The job totals for those two months were revised up by a combined 36,000.
Job creation is accelerating: Employers added an average of 238,000 jobs the past three months. That's up from 167,000 in the previous three.

The Labor Department also said Friday that the unemployment rate sank to 6.3 percent, its lowest level since September 2008, from 6.7 percent in March. But the drop occurred because the number of people working or seeking work fell sharply. People aren't counted as unemployed if they're not looking for a job.
Many of those who stopped looking for work last month had been among the long-term unemployed — people out of work for six months or more. The number of long-term unemployed fell 300,000, the sharpest drop in 2½ years, to 3.5 million. Economists said most of them likely gave up looking for work rather than found jobs. (AP Report)
