Well of course it was regrettable, but you have to understand that it's the price of empire. You seem to think that we can run the world without picking up a dent or two in the process, that all the casualties will be on the other side. Doesn't work that way. The odd ambassador here, a few thousand warriors there. It's the cost of doing business the military superpower way. Come on, man up about this stuff. We're Americans. The loss of one foreign service functionary isn't going to slow us down.

This is a great response to a fallacious argument. Apparently, if you don't respond exactly like the Right wingers, with all the nonsense that entails, your character is that of "Worthless gutter-slime". Such a well-reasoned argument from what probably passes as logic on FOX. Be conveniently outraged about a situation that has occurred many, many times but ignore all the previous times because this one incident is somehow unique in their eyes. It is regrettable as always but by far the most regrettable aspect of this particular situation and the real unique aspect of this tragedy we never saw in the past is the way FOX, Issa, the Tea Party, and of course John McCain has used the death of these 4 Americans for purely political purposes.
And just to use their vernacular, that you DIDN'T get worked up over the callous use of the death of our Ambassador and his aides by FOX and the GOP reveals the nature of your character: Worthless gutter-slime. If there is something to get worked up about, it is that unfortunate reality.

That's all well & good, no one would disagree deaths happen but in the case of Benghazi the deaths were certainly avoidable and the admin's response (in the hours during the attack & the cover-up afterward) is suspect, at the least.
It proves we suffer leadership that's not up to the task & they'd rather cover their a**es than be honest with the public.

 

I would object to calling something "suspect" and in the very next sentence saying that it is "proved". A does not follow B. The failure here is one of logic.

 

Actually, I said it was "suspect, at the least".

I guess I'd go there too if I had nothing else.
