OK, what the hell does that even mean? How much smaller? Is it 10% smaller? Is it 40% smaller? What is the exact "smallness" the Right-wing keeps talking about? And what aspects of the government are shrinking anyway? The military? Medicare? Education? And given that the government will be much less effective, who fills in the vacuum left over? Do we just give up on the elderly, the poor, the vets, the disabled? Who exactly provides those government services that a much smaller government can no longer provide? I wish that we had articulate Right-wingers here that could fill in these blanks for me. I'd be willing to listen but I fear in reality that the "Smaller Government" mantra is just one more poorly thought out narrative that they have never really thought about beyond the two words themselves.
Here's the really "funny" part: In the absence of a system of government, and the related chaos that would bring, it would soon become clear to them that a system of government was necessary, in order to maintain their power. The whole "Let's not be killed by angry mobs" thing is influential that way.
Could you be MORE cryptic? You don't have any idea what you mean by smaller government do you? You simply just don't know what you mean by smaller government but you're for it. Typical no thought Right-wing talking point.
