The teeth-grinding, spitting mad TP "patriots" are not going to stand for it any more! They're sure that the silent majority is with them, and that it's time to take over the Republican Party, one seat at a time, if necessary. Meanwhile, the GOP establishment is getting tired of being attacked from the right, only to lose in general elections. It's been going on for a while; this is merely an update on the internecine strife and animosity that is troubling the "Party of Lincoln":

"Tea Party pushes back against McConnell"

Maybe the TP should just split off, and leave the dead wood of the Republican establishment to rot. After all, they're "the base of the party." :p

They really make it tough to root for either side. It's either crazy or crazier. The turtle does have a point though. The TP (Toilet Party) want to attack the GOP but are offended when they are attacked back. With any luck, they'll both sustain fatal political wounds.

Even in Montana, mainstream Republicans, i.e Republicans who can go out in public without completely embarrassing themselves, are having trouble with their Tea Party "base". I don't know to what degree this stems from conviction vs a simple desire to avoid bad publicity, but either way the MT GOPers have denied one Bagger racist a forum.

Tea Party Republican named Drew Turiano is running for one of MT's US senate seats. But the mainstreamers don't want him lowering the tone, such as it will be, at their annual Lincoln-Reagan Day dinner and have told him to be somewhere else.

Yeah, Operation Wetback might have had something to do with it. Checked out his website. Header is his smiling face superimposed beside the steeple of what appears to be a country church. Under the heading. "Events" appear the words "no events", so maybe being blacklisted from this Lincoln-Reagan dinner took it all out of him. According to his website, he's also opposed to marriage equality. The church steeple thing would be tip off there. If this was not a Bagger default position before it seems to be becoming one.

Perhaps I wouldn't have thought so at first but seeing a picture of this guy coupled with his comments I conjure up "skin head in a suit". Just a thought.

It is scary though (The Tea party). They are a joke and the joke is on the Republican party and it seems the Republican party has realized it more and more every day.

Now is the Tea party relying on a "silent majority" or a "silent moronity"?

It would seem the latter to me.

To me the problem with the Tea party is they don't have answers. They have ideas and ideals. Occasionally they actually make a bit of sense.

However, when asked how they would implement such ideas they have no answers. Mainly because reality rears it's ugly head.

I believe MOST Americans would like to see smaller government and it's possible on many fronts.

The Tea party wants to take it too far though and they have no clue how they would actually go about it. Hence no answers because they don't have them. Just a lot of words and The Constitution.

Actually, a lot of those words are in direct conflict with the Constitution of the United States: "Strange Brew: How the Tea Party Distorts the Constitution"
