Did Congress derail Obamacare? If so, please tell us what was derailed and who derailed it... specifically.
What you actually see is a guy that works for a living. I spend two days at a conference with highly intelligent individuals and it is quite a culture shock to return to you idiots and read some the most idiotic nonsense ever spewed in cyberspace. Perhaps if our "gentleman" farmer ever got off his lazy fat ass and read a book, did some exercise, or just got out of the Kentucky racial ghetto once in a blue moon, he wouldn't have to be shoving needles in his arm everyday? Think about it porky.
I know. The system definitely needs at an upgrade, or some patches to fix certain problems. Eventually, it'll need a total overhaul, but that could take some time to work-out. I'm certain it'll have to be done from within, so our best option is to allow one party total control (the Democrats are the obvious choice) and insist they make changes to the system. And I mean INSIST on it, as in giving them few other options....a "comply, or else" attitude is in order. I hate to think of what happens should Congress resist that effort, but...the Devil's in the details, so-to-speak, and he's been too comfortable there for too long...In time he's gonna need to be "evicted", and that could get messy. Some major fireworks are a-comin', in any case, but... people can always set-up some chairs, eat some snacks and drink some brewskis, so they can sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. The occupiers are always available, in that sense...if the police don't remove them by force, that is. But no, I think the Democrats understand what's needed, or will eventually. Our best option is to support them as they make the attempt.
Highly intelligent individuals? So, why did they invite you? Was this a remedial math conference for student loan clerks? I hope so. I really, really hope so....
FYI, family members are off-limits in this forum and the moderators do not take kindly to references to them. I say this for your sake since you're a newbie and don't understand all the rules and policies.
Well, rats have families too, you know, and it's best to prevent their population from getting out-of-hand. There are lots of products out there, but I find the ones that make them slow and dim-witted to be an excellent alternative to the spring-loaded types. Glue-strips work in a pinch, and traps are cheap and easy to set-up. Of course, I'm talking about rats here, and not people, but the theory is still valid, imo...We don't want plagues to make a comeback.
People who live in glasshouses and all that... The pot calling the kettle.... You hurl your insults from a very low place indeed.
I don't even remember what I said there which is now deemed to have been offensive can someone PM me the missing slur?
Not me, it was deleted before I got to read it but I can hazard the guess that you were talking about some other member's family, and that is definitely one rule that they enforce, so just try to leave that kind of thing out of any of your responses and you should be fine.
And it gets worse! http://foxnewsinsider.com/2014/02/10/mark-thiessen-american-workers-facing-70b-pay-cut-due-obamacare
The apologist for Dick Cheney's program of water-boarding wants to express an opinion on healthcare. Hum?
Yep! Nothing intelligent to say so you fall back to your old standby - INSULTS. Funny, but your insults do not change the facts!
So Mark Thiessen didn't write as book defending water-boarding and me saying he did is an "insult" for some reason? Check YOUR facts little buddy.
What difference at this point does it make who quotes the CBO report? Does or does it not say; "CBO estimates that the ACA will cause a reduction of roughly 1 percent in aggregate labor compensation over the 2017-2024 period, compared with what it would have been otherwise.”?
I agree, but I'd like to see what I supposedly said, because I missed it Perhaps the mod knows? Or the victim who reported it? Right now it is just an unsubstantiated allegation. I don't even know what the claim against me is.
Another way to look at is After all those millions retire out because they now can afford to with health care the remainder all get a real increase in take home. That 1% overall loss (and no I didn't go read up I am using your numbers so I don't care to be held to them) means that now far less than 99% of the current work force is getting 99% as much money which is a net average increase to each. If the projections hold up, or it may be even better!
If it were that simple, that sounds great. However, what that really says is that everyone gets a 1% pay cut and then has to pay 50% more for healthcare except for those who get the welfare healthcare.
