It's strange. I did a search of the Fox News website, and there was no mention of this interesting story.

Loudmouths parade around calling themselves patriots, then applaud when this retired general talks about leading "a revolution" against the lawfully elected government of the country. Talk about a false flag operation. I'm not sure what are their true colors, but they ain't red white and blue, no matter how much they wave Old Glory around.

Here is the thing about our friends at FOX. The only people paying any attention to them are liberals that want to point out the outrageous comments that FOX regularly makes. If it wasn't for their detractors, nobody would even hear about FOX. It's sort of the Ann Coulter tactic. Say things you don't really believe and wait for all the free publicity. I have decided to just ignore them and let them disappear on their own. Good riddance.

Are you sure he said it? With all of the disinformation on the internet, that sounds more like the Birch Society is up to its old subversive tricks. ;)

However, if he did say it, he can esily be arrested, charged, and convicted of Sedition.

In a Republican form of government, there are set procedures to fix a broken government and calling on the use of force is not one of the procedures. ;)

If you get better confirmation that he said it, please post the link. :D

    Ribbit :)

    Interesting.

For a general, I'm not impressed. His "plan" appears to ignore the potential civilian outrage, or at least under-estimates it. Civilians own guns too, and he appears to think they'd support him. A foolish mistake. It also assumes he can command 250,000 soldiers to kill their own country's civilians, their own families. A huge lack of foresight.

He must have @#$%ed his way to the top, or jerked people around a lot, whatever.

The clip posted by Right Wing Watch is taken from a much longer video which is available on Youtube. General Vallely says that a military man should be the next leader of the United States. The video is interesting viewing--Vallely's sizable ego is on display, and the gaggle of sycophants he's speaking to obviously enjoys stroking it. He lies repeatedly. A few examples:

He states "I'm not a birther," then proceeds to spout birther talking points.

He says he's not in favor of a military coup, then later says, "I had a call this afternoon from Idaho, the gentleman said, 'If I give you 250,000 Marines to go to Washington, will you lead them?' And I said, 'Yes I will, I'll surround the White House, and I'll surround the Capitol building.' But, uh, it's gonna take physical presence to do things. Write letters to these Senators and Congressmen, I am so frustrated because they--nothing happens. So, I think--I'm not inciting a revolution, but we've gotta get more physical and stand up and protest, and--the great things the Tea Party did." (link)

He rattles on about how Christianity is being "purged" from the U. S. military, when in fact Christianity (in particular evangelical fundamentalist Christianity) is a strong and growing force in the American military.

It's not surprising that this old soldier is a Tea Party darling. His speech is peppered with their favorite canards.

I don't think it's just advocating "kiddie style" revolution when he semi-jokingly refers to leading hundreds of thousands of Marines against Washington. “Many a true word hath been spoken in jest.”

Considering the amount of crap spewed by the SDS, Weathermen, Black Panthers, and Yippies back in the 60's (I really did like Abby Hoffman), I'm not too concerned with this wacko. In fact, I encourage him to speak his mind so we all have undeniable proof that, he's a wacko. However I suggest that we all go back and view "The Hand Maiden's Tale" so we can be prepared.
