OUCH! As if this guy wasn't in enough trouble already. I guess he can say that he didn't know anything about the commercial in question but being that he and his entire family are in the commercial, you just gotta know that one of them is going to rollover on him. :)

And let's not forget that it was Christie that decided to hold an election for the U.S. Senate seat 3 weeks before his election for governor costing the tax payers and extra 12 million dollars so he could win his election by a larger margin than he would have if all those Democrats had showed up to vote for Cory Booker. Thanks Christie!

Chris Christie Facing Federal Investigation Over Sandy Funds: Frank Pallone

The Huffington Post | By Luke Johnson Posted: 01/13/2014 9:22 am EST

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is facing a federal investigation into whether the governor used Hurricane Sandy relief money to produce tourism ads starring himself and his family, Rep. Frank Pallone (D-N.J) told CNN Sunday. The New Jersey lawmaker said the inspector general for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development conducted a preliminary investigation, and concluded that a full investigation is warranted.
The investigation comes as the New Jersey governor is facing a separate federal probe into revelations that his top aides engineered the temporary shutdown of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge as political retribution.
Pallone wrote a letter to the inspector general of the Department of Housing and Urban Development in August, asking why a firm with a more expensive pitch won the project to make a New Jersey tourism campaign with Hurricane Sandy relief funds. The winning firm's bid was $4.7 million, while a comparable firm cost $2.5 million. The more expensive firm included the Chrisities, while the cheaper firm did not.
In a slickly-produced ad released in May, Christie appeared towards the end and proclaimed that New Jersey was "stronger than the storm."
The ad came as Christie was running for reelection as a Republican in an overwhelmingly Democratic state. However, due to his personal popularity (thanks in no small part due to his handling of the Sandy recovery), Christie trounced Democrat Barbara Buono and led in the polls throughout the campaign.
Pallone's office did not immediately respond to a request for additional comment.

Once Christie started getting chummy with BO, it all went to hell for him! You know what they say: "If you lay with dogs, you're gonna get fleas".

Of course, everything Christie does MUST be Obama's fault. THANKS OBAMA!

Hmmm, can't help but notice both of these issues came up after Christie & BO began to cozy up with each other. Christie has been in the spotlight for a long time without a hint of scandal but once BO enters the picture viola! SCANDAL!!!!

WITHOUT A HINT OF SCANDAL? You must be deaf AND dumb. Christie has been associated with nothing but scandals his entire time as governor. Let's see, he "lent" a federal prosecutor $47K and rec'd monthly payments from her and she was forced to resign after it came out. Then there was his use of a 12.5 million dollar State Police helicopter to attend his son's baseball game which he initially refused to repay and only reimbursed the cost after a lot of pressure. Then there was just spiteful petty stuff like cancelling Richard Codey's security detail after having a public argument with him over court nominees and using his line-item veto to cut political science funding for a program at Rutgers, after the program's director voted down a GOP redistricting plan. There really is no end to the spiteful petty stuff associated with the Christie Administration that doesn't rise to the level of scandal but clearly paints a picture of a bully on parade. NO HINT? What were you looking for? Bodies in his trunk?

Spiteful & petty really doesn't rise to the level of scandal though, does it? Not like, say, dead Americans in Benghazi or Mexico, right? Or using the IRS to punish one's political opposition? Now those are scandals!

What YOU said was that there was no hint of scandal. Obviously there was more than a hint.

    I'm sure you did.

I'm sure we disagree on exactly what constitutes a scandal but I'm equally convinced most people wouldn't equate "spiteful & petty" with scandal.

Why did you choose to ignore the loan to the prosecutor and the helicopter ride? Just curious? They certainly "hint" at scandalous behavior.

Dunno if a loan or helicopter ride truly = scandal.
Now, using the IRS to target political foes certainly does = scandal. Covering up the failings that led to 4 American deaths in Benghazi = scandal. And having our security folks murdered by Mexican druglords, with guns provided by the administration = scandal.

And BTW OH YA! We do disagree what constitutes a scandal. Made up phony scandals that have never ending partisan investigations associated with them are scandalous but more for those conducting expensive tax payer funded witch hunts that we've seen from the Right-wing in the past like the Clinton Christmas card investigation, the Vince Foster investigation, the White Water investigation ALL amounting to nothing. Even the Monica Lewinsky investigation which cost millions turned up only an embarrassing affair and a lie to cover up the affair. Not worth my tax money if two consenting adults want to fool around. But republicans use their power more often than not for political witch hunts at our expense and then whine like crazy when one of their guys is investigated. Christie hasn't been charged or linked to his staff's behavior but we are just getting start. I'm confident he isn't as innocent as he pretends. It's just a matter of time. At a minimum, the guy doesn't vet his staff and has no idea what they are doing behind his back. In all fairness, Christie probably hasn't been able to see his behind in years.

Who exactly in the Obama Administration was caught targeting political foes? You gotta name? Remember IRS employees are not in the administration. Please define the failings that were covered up? How were they covered up? If they were covered up, how do you know about them? How did the administration "provide" guns to anyone? These things did happen but I can't figure out how you seem to KNOW it was the Obama Administration doing all these things. You want them to be associated with Obama I know but where is the smoking gun after all these months and months of investigations. Can you point to one smoking gun, just one?

Using the same line of reasoning you & your ilk seem to be following with Christie, BO (as the guy in charge) should have known. If he didn't, why didn't he?

    Thanks for the help!!
