Howdy peeps, There's a little known fact about the 13th year of a new century or millennium, there happens to be a 13-13-13 date, even though there are only 12 months. How's that possible, you ask? It's simple, you make a 13th month in the 13th year by adding the 1st month of the 14th year to the end of the 13th year and the 13th day of that month is then 13-13-13. 13-13-13 happens to be January 13, 2014, which is tomorrow. So tomorrow is the Tri-13th Day of the 21st Century and the 3rd Millennium. I'm wishing you all a Happy Tri-13th Day! Ribbit Ps: I was also the first to wish you a Happy Tri-13th Day.
I just did a google search and found out there's a movie with the title 13/13/13: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2991516/ Ribbit
I'll observe a moment of silence at 1:13 pm (1313 hours - military time) on 13/13/13 in honor of the day. Now, if it was only on a Friday......
One guy proposed a 13 month calendar with each month having 4 weeks or 28 days. Winter solstice is 0 day, or a day by itself making 365 days in the year. Every 4th year has a 00 day on summer solstice. This works out to the lunar cycle plus has the added benefit of keeping which week to avoid the wife consistent.
Can anyone explain why that proposal didn't win, simply for the wife factor alone? Why shouldn't we be on Womantime instead of Mantime? Awesome post, C Jay! Ribbit
For those affected by Triskaidephobia, today is a great day to face your fears and to rid yourself of that demon. Ribbit
