Perfect Example of The Right-wing Media Bubble

Here ya go! This is how the Right-wing media bubble takes any story true or not and bounces it off of the inside of their own little world. The World Health Organization (WHO) mistakenly reported that half of the new HIV infections in Greece were self-inflicted in order to collect government benefits. So Rush Limbaugh hears about this and ceases on the opportunity to blame, you guessed it, government dependency. According to Limbaugh:

"It's all the fault of government, according to the UN. It's all the fault of the Greek government. So the people — ignorant though they are, blissfully ignorant though they are — they're always victims, they are always innocent. They never have one responsibility, not one iota of responsibility in any aspect of their lives."

So tailoring this story into his Right-wing agenda, Limbaugh spends Monday railing on the nanny state and of course the lazy, useless, gimme gimme attitude of these government dependent Greek citizens. Yeah blah, blah, blah...whatever.

Now, enter the Right-wing echo chamber. Drudge and several other bubble inhabitants pick up this story and without so much as a journalistic pretense run with the story no fact checking, no independent confirmation, and no "wait a minute, is this actually happening" moments. Did any of them actually contact WHO to verify the report? No, it was simply too good, too convenient, and too scandalous to not run with. While the actual error in the report did exist, it was more than obvious that no Right-wing organization reporting this story actually did anything other than parrot something that they simply took Rush Limbaugh's word for otherwise, the error would have been identified and debunked before it ever hit the public domain.

Right-wing media is purely agenda driven and "facts" are tailored to their agenda rather than the other way around. The tail clearly wags the dog in the Right-wing media and that is why you can never trust them as a source and why I ignore everything they say. I hope that you Right-wing trolls can see how you are being used but I seriously doubt you actually have that much insight.

So, how does this mysterious "Right-wing echo chamber" work here, on the forum, exactly? No mention was made of the story until you posted it.

 

The whole "knockout" story was nothing more than a Right-wing load of nonsense and just another example of how FOX and the rest get you trolls to post their nonsense. You guys do it all the time. The annual "War on Christmas" meme is also due about this time on the year too. I can't wait. I don't expect those that are mired in echo chamber to understand their own behavior. They are much, much too gullible.
