That "website" is Obamacare at this point. Most who've tried can't access the site to register & those who were able to get through now find their inforamtion compromised!

While we're discussing Obamacare, my wife (an RN) rec'd a memo from the hospital last week regarding the adverse effects the hospital will experience once Obamacare kicks in. The biggest concern centers around patient care and how the hospital can maintain it's standards despite increased demand, lower reimbursement & decreased participation by healthcare providers.
    It's gonna get ugly.

The ACA is a law, the website is just a tool...Kind of like YOU.

The website is everyone's entry point into this debacle...and it's a sign of things to come! Heck, the website should have been the easiest part of the whole deal.

Nonsense!! The state exchanges are the entry point for many individuals. They are working peachy. The fed site had to wait for most of the GOP governors to opt out of creating their own exchanges before knowing the numbers of participants they had to deal with. If anything, it was the GOP that created the problem. And I can't believe that it wasn't intentional.

I guess that you're both a psychic and a web designer given that you seem to know the future and think that websites are created in the wink of an eye. Nothing like this exchange has ever been tried before on such a large scale but you are absolutely certain that it should have been developed flawlessly overnight. As a former programmer, I feel safe in saying that you speak of things that you have no clue about. Go back to reading people's palms.

So, the state exchanges are functioning yet the federal gov't site isn't? Hmmmm...proving, perhaps, healthcare is better handled on the state level instead of by the federal gov't? Hmmm....

I don't get how BO could even allow this website fiasco to happen on his watch. It's not like he didn't have several years of lead time to prepare. One would think, if you are undertaking the largest government bureacracy ever, something as simple as the tool to sign up for the program, would be low hanging fruit.

Proving that the individual state governments are smaller than the Federal government. Who knew?

And BO didn't know this back in '08? He should have...further proving (as if we needed additional proof) he's simply not up to the job.

Tell Osama Bin Laden that. I'm sure he'll get a kick out of your opinion.

So, with the website (ahem) "working" now, does that negate the fact that Obama lied to all of us? Hardly. That's one of the true points of contention in this train-wreck called "Obamacare", not some silly web interface.

Supposedly the website is "operating with private sector velocity and effectiveness". Think about that for a moment. The governments best effort with all efforts to save face is doing as well as the private sector. Why didn't we just leave it with the private sector if they were doing it so well? And this is the group that will be overseeing healthcare. OMG.

BTW, there are still three major problems with the website not typical of the private sector.
1.) There is still no provision to pay. I would think that would be kind of necessary.
2.) The information given to the insurance companies is still garbled.
3.) the site is an open book to hackers from the front to back.

In the latest snafu from Obamacare, it does not allow federal tax credit through state run exchanges. OOPS! Problem is the IRS has rewritten the law to included the tax credits. Since when did they get the power to rewrite the laws?

Additionally, according to a report on C-Span, the insurance companies billing procedures (for purposes of gov't reimbursement) will be self-reported. I thought not being able to trust these big, evil insurance companies was one of the far left's talking points?

Personally, I cannot believe they could possibly do anything as bad as Obamacare.
