CNN poll: Obamacare more popular than Republicans by Joan McCarterFollow That CNN poll that demonstrates that yes, Republicans really did shoot themselves in the foot with their government shutdown and debt ceiling brinksmanship, also demonstrated, again, that Obamcare isn't so unpopular these days. Even though they lost this round, conservatives vow to continue their fight to dismantle Obamacare. And they point to major troubles with the rollout of the website where Americans without insurance can enroll in the new health care exchanges. [...] According to the poll, just more than four in 10 say they favor the law, with 56% opposed to it. But of those opposed, 38% say they are against the law because they think it's too liberal and 12% say it's not liberal enough. That means that 53% either support Obamacare, or say it's not liberal enough. Huh, about the same percentage (54 percent) that say "it's a bad thing that the GOP controls the House." Seriously, Republicans, we're done with this fight. The majority wasn't with you on repeal: In March, 2011, in May, 2011 (and that's a Rasmussen poll!), in July, 2012, in November, 2012 (as if the election weren't indication enough), and finally July of this year. Seriously, enough. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/10/21/1249285/-CNN-poll-Obamacare-more-popular-than-Republicans#
Most lies don't have the extensive legislative record attached that clearly point to the GOP...Not to mention a vast majority of Americans pointing in their direction. Believe what you want, it's not like reality or facts enter into the equation for you anyway.
CNN/ORC poll: Democrats lose 2014 edge following Obamacare uproar Posted by CNN Political Editor Paul Steinhauser November 26, 2013 Washington (CNN) – What a difference a month makes. A new CNN/ORC International poll indicates a dramatic turnaround in the battle for control of Congress in next year's midterm elections. Democrats a month ago held a 50%-42% advantage among registered voters in a generic ballot, which asked respondents to choose between a Democrat or Republican in their congressional district without identifying the candidates. That result came after congressional Republicans appeared to overplay their hand in the bitter fight over the federal government shutdown and the debt ceiling. But the Democratic lead has disappeared. A new CNN/ORC poll indicates the GOP now holds a 49%-47% edge. The new survey was conducted last week and released Tuesday. The 10-point swing follows a political uproar over Obamacare, which included the botched rollout of HealthCare.gov and controversy over insurance policy cancelations due primarily to the new health law. The turnaround in the CNN/ORC poll follows similar shifts in recent national surveys from Quinnipiac University and Fox News. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.co...ts-lose-2014-edge-following-obamacare-uproar/
Please explain how the Government would have been shut down had the Senate simply passed the continuing resolution that funded the entire Government EXCEPT Obamacare. Answer: The Government would NOT have shut down. Conclusion: Democrats shut down Government to protect Obamacare. There's nothing that requires Congress to fund every law.
