Im curious to see if Al Franken will be writing a new book about the lies Obama is telling. It will take more than one book, however.

Ooops! Not only will she not be able to buy insurance, but she will have to pay 1% of her taxable income as an IRS penalty. That penalty increases to 2.5% by 2016. She makes $49,000, so by 2016, that will be a tax of $1225/year for nothing. She would make more money AND receive healthcare if she quits working and goes on the Government dole.

    Where is the Liberal outrage?

Btw, how many of these subsidy "mistakes" will go undetected?

OK, It's a lie about a lie. Even it name is bogus. The "Affordable Care Act" is anything but that. It should be re-branded the "Insurance Corporation Entitlement Act". It has become self evident that it is doing the exact opposite of what it was suppose to do. It is raising the cost of health care for most of us and slamming the poor because they are poor. Let's say you make $12,000.00 a year flipping burgers. You still have to payout half your pre-tax income for health care in hopes of getting a tax credit 16 months later, or does the $30.00 a week in withholding foot the bill. For those of you using the word subsidy, lie again, it's a tax credit and no one saying how it works. For those of you who can't afford health insurance, you still can't, but this time it going to cost you 2.5%. From what I have read, it focuses on the insurance while totally ignoring the real problem, which is how we as Americans use health care and our inability to deal with the concept of death.

I thought it was an actually subsidy (check) vs. at tax credit (I'll have to investigate further). I agree, if it's a tax credit, how can anyone of limited means afford insurance? I guess Medicaid is their only option. Additionally, if you can only afford a "bronze" plan, the $5000 deductible pretty much means any reasonably healthy person has nothing more than preventative and catastrophic healthcare.

Obamacare floods the insurance companies with money, but makes no effort at Tort Reform...a huge driver of costs. A cousin of mine is an Anesthesiologist and pays over half of her salary in malpractice insurance. It seems (to a Conservative) that the ACA was actually designed to open the cash "spigot" for Trial Lawyers...the same Trial Lawyers that control the Democratic Party.

If the ACA could possibly do what it claimed it could do, I would be behind it 100%. I'll be retiring in the next few years and will need affordable healthcare. Any reasonable person could see this legislation wouldn't work. Now Obama is "blaming" Republicans for the failure of Obamacare. He says that their criticism is keeping it from working...really?

Poll: Obamacare support, Obama approval sink to new lows

President Obama's job approval rating has plunged to the lowest of his presidency, according to a new CBS News poll released Wednesday, and Americans' approval of the Affordable Care Act has dropped it's lowest since CBS News started polling on the law.

Thirty-seven percent now approve of the job Mr. Obama is doing as president, down from 46 percent in October -- a nine point drop in just a month. Mr. Obama's disapproval rating is 57 percent -- the highest level for this president in CBS News Polls.

A rocky beginning to the opening of the new health insurance exchanges has also taken its toll on how Americans perceive the Affordable Care Act. Now, approval of the law has dropped to 31 percent - the lowest number yet recorded in CBS News Polls, and a drop of 12 points since last month. Sixty-one percent disapprove (a high for this poll), including 46 percent who say they disapprove strongly.
