Just look at what happened when Bush said Iraq had WMD's. Even though Clinton had "discovered" this and announced it, Bush was the one who got crucified (for believing Clinton?).

I'm far more offended when a president lies to take us into war and ends up killing thousands of Americans and 10's of thousands of men, women, and children, not to mention the 10's of thousands of disabled vets.
Let's see, the result of Obama's "lie" is that thousands of people will get rid of junk health insurance policies and end up with affordable health care that actually covers illnesses. The result of Republican lies is that thousands of Americans are dead, 10's of thousands disabled, 10's of thousands of family members lose a father or a mother, a brother or a sister, a son or a daughter, and Al Qaeda gains a foothold in Iraq.
Well, I guess there are presidents lying to us and there are presidents lying to us but NOW Coinus wants to know how it feels to have a president lie?
I guess that even considering the consequences of such lies has no impact on how indignant someone should be in this Right-wing bubble world they live in.

My guess is that Obamacare will be responsible for the same number of deaths in just the first month of it implementation.

BTW, it has been proven that Bush did not lie about WMD any more than Clinton, Britain, or the UN Security Council. On the other hand, there is no way Obama did not lie and his own supporting cast told him so.

Whilst President Obama might not be a President that I have much time for to get worried about him possibly not telling the truth is I find amusing Any one care to name a President/Prime Minister who never ever lied? :D The man is a consumate politician (Thats how he got to were he is) and they all lie

We were promised "hope" and "change". We were promised "transparency in government". Are you saying that lying is excusable?

Nope but when a politician speaks it seems to be the norm, also if I shake one by the hand I check how many fingers I have afterwards as well as my wallet

But the President of the United States isn't just another politician (or at least he shouldn't be). Unfortunately, BO has lowered that bar so far we may never recover....BO is turning the movie "Idiocracy" into a documentary!

So whats so special about a President or a Prime Minister they are just the same as the rest, they simply got the top job.

I am of the opinion that those lower down the ladder (In my case MP's) should also be limited to the time they spend in office as they become complacent and seem to forget that it is us that they should be representing and not special interest groups

I just have a hard time listening to the whining and complaining about "promises" from the same people that have gone out of their way to make sure that every single obstacle, every single obstruction, every single impediment that is politically possible is used towards making the "promises" not happen. Nothing exemplifies this more than the way the Right has blocked every attempt by the administration to close Guantanamo and then whined and complained that the Administration didn't keep their "promise" to close the facility. When you are dealing with people this dishonest and self-delusional, their whining and complaining about "promises" is like fingernails on the chalkboard on one's intelligence.

Now we have crocodile tears over junk health coverage plans that couldn't even provide the minimum basics of health coverage.

Oh, quit your bitching about Bush. Bush is history. Do you want to talk about Lincoln suspending the writ of habeus corpus or perhaps Roosevelt interning the Japanese-Americans during WWII? You might as well. I'm talking about the modern day and our present leader. Is this really someone you still have faith in? He lied to your face and he knew he was lying all along. Is this really someone you believe in? Is this really someone you trust? You still haven't answer the question I asked in this thread: How DO you feel having a leader who lied to you? And be honest; don't lie.

I forgot that we couldn't talk about what Bush did while you sat silently by until a black guy was in the White House. I'll try and remember how Right-wing hypocrisy works from now on.

If the shutdown cost $24 Billion, it's because all the Government workers not only got all free vacation and back pay, they also got to keep their unemployment check.

And the people that you have to blame for it are the politicians not those who as you put it "got all free vacation and back pay, they also got to keep their unemployment check

I doubt very much if there opinion was asked for before they were told to go home.

You basiclly have a bunch of overpaid privlidged politicos who are too concerned about party politics to actually care about your country, let us not forget they still got paid and did nothing

They have just ruled that the unemployment checks have to be returned.

Who's "they". I thought it was up to the states to make decisions like that. Washington State is requiring payback, so is Oregon. I imagine there are some states that might not. Is it the Feds who are making their employees return them?

What I heard (or thought I heard) was that the Feds were requiring it to be paid back.

As it should be if they received back pay. I just didn't know that it was up to them, but I guess they can pretty much call the shots on stuff like this if they feel like it.

So, moron joe's justification of BO's LYING (to aid in the advancement of his ideology) is: 1) Bush lied 2) The republicans are blocking BO's agenda and 3) BO is a black guy. Hmmmm. Ok, got it!
Maybe, just maybe, if the only way to gain support for your bill is to LIE, the bill may not be so good.
