It's Time for Mainstream Republicans to Dump the South

Democrats had to dump the South in the 60's over civil rights and lost the South for a generation. That generation is over and now the Republicans having taken them into the fold have the same problem. If the GOP doesn't dump the southern factions of the party, the the GOP will cease to exist mostly due to the exclusion of growing minority populations and waning old white voter population. Of course this will doom them to the same fate the Dems had to face when they dumped the south but it is better than going extinct I suppose. The south has been and continues to be intransigent, unapologetic racists that allow hatred and old wounds to fester and eat away at their relevance. They never should have been taken in by any political party but both parties are guilty and it is time for both to say enough is enough and dump the South in the ash can of history. They can't possibly survive on their own and will die out nationally and eventually locally as well.
Now you might ask what I mean by the South.. I mean everything that southern Republicans are made up of including Evangelicals, Tea Partiers, Libertarians, and racists in general. Time to say enough to the southern states and their never ending hatred.

As we watch at the GOP self-destruct before our eyes, no one of consequence wishes to chime in? I'd be intensely interested in talking about the Democrats if the same thing was happening to them. Goin' down with the ship eh? Figures.

 

So we're going to watch a major political party desolve with no intelligent comment? Hum? Denial is strong in this party.
