The Shutdown - First it was Obamacare, Then The Debt, now SS & Medicare

Who knows what their next hostage demand will be? Not even them I'm sure. In case you are following this hostage crisis, the Right seems to be vacillating again between demands but one thing is for sure, the Democrats are refusing to give into any ransom demand, pay any tribute to Caesar, nor will they capitulate to the American Taliban terrorists threats. Everyday more and more Americans are realizing what a bunch of thugs and sociopaths the GOP-Tea Party is. Current 74% straight up blame them for this shutdown and rightly so. It seems that our local Right-wingers haven't quite figured out what most Americans can see pretty easily. That the losers and crazies of the Right are willing to use any means possible to get what they want even if it means burning down the entire country. Thugs and sore losers.

 

Vacillating between demands = negotiating

The Dems should try vacillating a little.

...and that percentage will most certainly go higher as government checks slow down...the Liberal strategy to rot American from the inside.

 

I believe that negotiating with a gun pointed at someone's head is still called hostage taking and further demanding anything at that point is pretty much known as a ransom demand.

 

Unfortunately many republicans are blaming the wrong people.mthe teabaggers such as Cruz and Bachman are threatening Boehner and house republicans with their careers if they let this budget come to vote, because they know the VAST MAJOITY of republicans approve of it and will vote it in. But somehow that gets translated as democrats not negotiating with a bill who's parts have lready been voted on by the senate and deemed legal by the supreme court, therefore shutting down government. Yep, the tea party gambled on the public to be ignorant, and who would have thought it, but they were right.

 

Obamacare, debt, Social Security/Medicaid...those seem to be the some pretty serious issues that need to be addressed. We can discuss 'em now or kick the can on down the road & let our kids/grandkids deal with it.

 

Now in the 11th hour, the Tea Baggers have decided that they want the health benefits for the White House staff to be part of the ransom demands. Oh for God's sake! This would be funny if they weren't so damn pathetic.

 

Now I think that they are back to wanting to defund some aspect of Obamacare driving the deficit even further into the red. It seems that the Right wants to live in this country, they just don't feel like they should have to pay for anything. Nice work work if you can get it.

 

Do you seriously believe Liberals hold America in enough regard to negotiate WITHOUT a gun to their head?

Btw, demanding a Trillion Dollar debt increase and settling for a $500 Billion increase isn't a "compromise"...it's a JACK!

 

Everyone seems to think the other side is going to blink...I don't.

I think the Democrats taste blood in the water and see this as a chance to break the back of the Tea Party. The Tea Party sees this as a chance to force Democrats to prioritize spending...effectively ending Obamacare.

I think we're going off the fiscal cliff like Thelma & Louise.



Obama will probably try to cause as much economic chaos as possible to win public opinion. However, he'll have to violate the 14th Amendment to do it...leading to an epic Supreme Court battle.

Alternatively, he could mint a $1 Trillion coin. The seigniorage could keep spending alive for awhile.



One thing is for sure...Obama has "something" up his sleeve. Doesn't really matter, though...the Tea Party "is on a Mission From God"

At least you can finally admit what is actually happening. But, as we all know, hostage taking is no way to run a government under any circumstances. As we all know, the debt ceiling was simply the budget congress already signed and now they are holding the budget they already agreed to hostage. Boehner claimed that he already got 98% of what he wanted but now will not agree to what he agreed to until he gets something else or the country gets it. Really Yaky! Is this really how you envision good government? Issues aside, is this healthy for the country? Do the ends justify the means? If you seriously believe such nonsense, you need to have your head examined.

 

It seems the people are starting to come around to the realization that with BO and the radical progressives, issues are never what they seem. Obamacare isn't about healthcare. Raising the debt ceiling isn't about finances. Every issue has control at it's core. The republicans need to fight BO & his ilk at every turn because with each win, no matter how small, the progressive agenda burrows a little deeper into our society.

 

Nobody is "starting to come around to the realization" other than the 74% or 3 out of every 4 Americans that agree that the GOP Tea Party is just playing politics with the full faith and credit of the entire country/world. IDIOTS!!!

As I always say, you can either believe the political Left or you can believe President Romney. You fools are lied to so often by your own leadership that all you have left at this point is the blame game. You have no idea where the truth is coming from anymore. The only thing you have convinced yourselves of is that everyone who disagrees with you is lying. I'd look around for a more reliable source of facts if I were you guys. The FOX you rely on so often, even indirectly, is only using you to make money. Buy any gold lately? How about bomb shelters? How about extra guns? Ammunition? Silly rabbits!
