Just as a for-instance, the House passed a bill to pay the veteran benefits 425 to zero. If you do the math correctly, I think you will find that included the Democrats in the House. Guess what Reid has done with it so far!

 

Does that also apply to BO's promise to repay the Fisher House? These are the folks who are paying the families of our dead soldiers while BO is holding the nation hostage. Does he have the authority to guarantee those payments?

 

The repukes think that they can pass funding for just the programs THEY like. It isn't going to happen. If they are going to shutdown the government, they might as well piss off their own constituencies as well as the Dems constituencies. The pick and choose game is just like a bank robbery stand off where they let one of the hostages go but keep their demands intact.

 

So you are pleased that the Democrats are withholding the veteran's benefits. Remember, that vote was 425 to ZERO. So far it looks like the Democrats are picking the people they want to offend with this shut down. And even most of the Democrats do not think this is right. Obviously you are an exception to the typical caring human.

 

I say let veterans have benefits they deserve and were promised. Also, let Women, infants, and children (WIC) also be funded. Why are veterans anymore special than women, infants, and children?

The mere fact that you had to ask the question tells me that there is no answer that you will understand. As obvious as it is to the normal compassionate person, you and your ilk will never see it.

 

Right, because the your ilk is so well-known for it's compassion. Kicking kids off of food stamps, forcing women to have medically unnecessary ultrasounds, trying to eliminate child labor laws, trying to get rid of minimum wage laws, voter suppression drives, torture as a tool of war, ... I mean the list of compassionate policies goes on and on and on...

Bu tI have seen how well that is working. I have also seen how well your (non-existent) charity is working. You are running out of other people's moneys to give away. Are you hoping they will be so addicted to big government they will not notice?

Yes, but I paid for medicare and I paid for SSI. Had I invested my own moneys, I would have been much better off.
