To the tune of 40 Billion dollars. The number of people living below the poverty line in this country has increased to a high of 46.5 million people since the start of this recession. The Republicans are so fond of pointing out that this is Obama's economy and he is responsible for all these people living in poverty and can't acknowledge that the economy crashed under Bush. Fine, I could care less who they choose to blame for the economic situation so many people in this country find themselves in today.

The Republican response to these economic hardships so many children, elderly, and vets find themselves in? Cut their only source of food. Regardless of who you choose to blame for all the poverty, victimizing those most affected seems like about the meanest thing you can do to them especially while making sure that corporate aggro businesses get their government subsidies without delay.

Another lie. Kids usually belong to families with children. Guess what is exempted for the Republican "cuts".

So you are agreeing that kids (AKA children) are exempted from the Republican cuts.

The house bill actually increases the food stamp program by 57% instead of the 65% the leftys wanted so its called a "cut"
