Rape away the gay” pastor Brent Girouex, a 31-year-old Iowa man, will not serve jail time for confessing to police that he had sex with at least four youths, according to a recent report from KRMG. Since that confession, eight additional young men have admitted to being violated by the now-former pastor of Victory Fellowship Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa. If you don’t want to be appalled, fair warning: you may want to skip over this next section. Apparently, Girouex thought he could rape away the gay by “praying while he had sexual contact” with his victims in an effort to keep them “sexually pure” for God. He then allegedly told police that “when they would ejaculate, they would be getting rid of the evil thoughts in their mind.” Girouex is a married father of four. Since the disturbing revelations have hit the Internet, his wife Erin has spoken out against him and the reduced sentence that he received after initially getting 17 years in prison. Instead of upholding to that initial ruling, a judge decided to sentence Girouex to five years probation and mandatory sexual offender treatment. Provided he doesn’t violate the terms of his probation — in other words, victimize someone else — he will not serve a day in jail. In comments to KCCI, Erin Girouex had this to say about the idea of sending her husband to prison: “If that’s what it takes to get him away from people, then yes … I don’t want (my children) anywhere near him.” She added that what she wants is for other victims of sexual misconduct to speak out before it’s too late. Erin plans to file for divorce, but according to KCCI “the hang-up is that her husband wants to see their children.” Currently, Brent Girouex has a court-ordered, twice-per-month visitation schedule, where he must be supervised by his own mother. Here’s a mugshot:

The article said his initial sentence was 17 years in prison. Did a jury find him guilty? I'm not familiar with this case, so I don't know the particulars and I don't know what reason the judge had for changing the ruling. Inadequate representation at trial? Victims who recanted their story? The article doesn't say.

The article said that he had sex with "youths". Were they children under the age of consent? It doesn't say. The article said he, "APPARENTLY thought he could rape away the gay". What's apparent? Is it just the journalist's opinion? The article says that he "had sex" not that he raped anyone, just that he "apparently" thought he could "rape away the gay". Did he actually rape anyone?

Court documents indicated Girouex told investigators the most sexual contact he had was with one teen over a four-year period, starting when the boy was 14 years old. Girouex speculated that he had “mutual” sexual contact with the teen between “25 and 50 times” over the four-year period. When investigators spoke to the teen, who is now an adult, he told them the number was between 50 and 100 times. Girouex allegedly said as a youth pastor he felt it was his duty “to help (the teen) with homosexual urges by praying while he had sexual contact with him.”

You do mean after some of the perverted nonsense you spun the truth into? You are a hell of a pervert to even go where you did and that is something you can deny all you want but it doesn't make you any less sick. Keep talking about it, I'm sure that you find it stimulating. Sicko!

I'm just waiting for you guys to come out and support this pedophile the same way you support any of these freaks. You know ya want to.

Calling someone a "youth" does not necessarily mean they're below the age of consent. Your article should have stated in the beginning that one kid was 14 years old. Now, do you have any clue why the judge reduced his sentence?

Stupid posts aside, I think this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING, can be justified as long as you say it in the name of God. What more proof do you need?

You're saying that rape is justified in the name of God. How wrong you are.

On several ocassions, I witnessed the guy across from my room drag some young girl into his room that could barely stand up because she was so drunk. Then I would see three or four more guys walk into the room and take turns on this passed out girl. Now pretty much having sex with someone that is too drunk to give consent is rape in almost any state. [/quote]

I think it's just a case of some guy who has mental issues. He needs to be placed somewhere he can receive medical help.

Aiding and abetting is also a crime. So is threatening to burn down buildings.

Let me break "Moen's" (Little Joe's) statement down.

First, he said he witnessed the guy dragging the drunk girl into the room.

Second, he said he saw three or four guys walk into the room.

Third, he said the guys took turns on the passed out girl.

Now, he said he saw the guys taking turns on the girl, but if he really didn't then he is merely drawing a conclusion not based on facts. However, if he actually saw the guys taking turns on the girl, he witnessed a rape since the girl could not give her consent due to the fact that she was passed out.

Therefore, Little Joe either witnessed a rape and did nothing about it or else he jumped to a conclusion without the facts to back up his statement. I'd like to know which it is. If he actually witnessed a rape and did nothing to help, I think I'm going to be sick. If he jumped to a conclusion, well, that's really nothing unusual since he does that all the time.

Maybe he will have the courage to address this issue...
