http://finance.yahoo.com/news/wal-m...-040100941.html;_ylt=A2KJjbx91zVSWzgAp2jQtDMD Does anyone else see something just a wee bit hypocritical about this paragraph? And I mean aside from "legal loopholes" (are charities really loopholes?), "bypass a tax" (legally and as intended by Congress), "wealthiest contribute their share" (now where have I heard that before?), etc. How about "supporters of the estate tax like Warren Buffett and William Gates Sr." Can anyone tell me who has the biggest loophole? I will bet both Gates and Buffett's "loopholes" out do the Walton's by many billions+++++. Buffett's (that supporter of the estate tax) is over $35,000,000,000!
More profit! More! More! More! Workers? Ahhhhh, screw the lazy bums! Banking a hassle? Ahhhhhh, we'll apply for an "In-House" banking service, and promise not to break any laws, like servicing the community, by asking that the laws be changed. Problems solved.
Loopholes don't suddenly appear. They are bought and paid for. Have you bought one lately? Me neither. But when you can afford to buy them, they sure are one heck of a return on your investment in a greedy political party.
First thing you need to do is look up the definition of loophole. Suffice it to say that it has NOTHING to do with the intent and purpose of a law. Then you need to figure out what giving to a charity really entails. My guess is that you make Biden look like Sister Teresa. However, my guess is that you are just jealous of the other side because they actually have the heart to give to charities.
So yes or no, you really believe that tax loopholes are not carved out for wealthy donors for either side? Really? Look up the defintion of gullible and be sure to upload a picture of you.
I guess you did not look up the definition of loophole. Loophole definitely does NOT include charitable donations. But then we have seen you opinion of donations, haven't we.
