Here's an Idea. Why don't you spend a little bit of time telling us your opinion instead of telling everyone else what their opinion is. In other words dick, grow up!
Absolutely I have but you telling me what I think based on your own personal biases is a complete load of bull crap. You can ask me what I think but you cannot tell me or anyone else what I think by extrapolating a past answer I may have given to a different question who knows how long ago and have any degree of credibility. If you want to be taken seriously, ask people what they think, don't just assume that you can read their minds. It really is the height of arrogance to never know someone, never have met them, never have had one interpersonal interaction and then think that you can read their minds. Of course you can stereotype all people of one group and believe that you know what they think but stereotypes really demonstrate a high degree of ignorance. Instead of having a deep understanding of anything, you rely on stereotypes for the sake of convenience. You must think yourself so very wise.
CJ....your thinking of those TV kooks. What about something as simple as an extended job loss or health issues?
True, the Mormons keep 1 year's worth of food in the kitchen, which makes since in a lot of different ways. The basics are cheaper than prepared food. Also, you're covered for unemployment, or if you simply can't make it to the store for a week or two. Most of what they stock are staples like rice, beans, canned meats. The problem I have is that you be able to really cook, not just heat stuff up. Most produce and meats go bad in about a week in the refrigerator. Bread goes stale in about the same time. I grew up with 2 working parents. TV dinners and cereal for breakfast was about as far as it went. I would love to cook up a good batch of Red Beans and Rice. I've tried and failed so many times, so I wind up hitting a few restaurants that excel at it. Speaking of kooks, the silo condos sold out at 2 million a pop for 900 square feet. I've heard 7 to 10 units in the project and an article featured it in a Systems Integration trade journal.
