I voted for Ross Perot in 1992 and ended up with Bill Clinton...I'm not making that mistake again. The only answer is to add a Tea Party "spine" to the Republican party and shine the light of Truth on the cockroaches that have taken over the Democratic party. Like Ronald Reagan, I began my political life as a "Conservative" Democrat. They don't exist anymore...Ross Perot was the last one.
Clinton rode the coattails of the Reagan/Bush economy and he's wrongfully given credit for having done a good job on his own. Overall, I would say he did a mediocre job. Nothing great. There was a lot that I didn't like about things he did but, thankfully, he wasn't an ultra-liberal socialist like our current prez. He was more of a buffoon than anything. I couldn't agree more! Some on this forum may find it shocking, but I also started as a Democrat, albeit a conservative one also. Then I wised up. The politicians who comprise the Democratic Party today are nothing like those of old. You called them "cockroaches" and that's just about the perfect description I can think of.
The problem with the Tea Party is that it is basically populated by angry old white people that are fast becoming a minority in this country. That and the fact that extreme fringe bat shit crazy slash and burn politics do not appeal to mainstream voters much less growing minority populations. They'll thrash around and have one last hurrah before they eventually retreat into an insurgency which they aren't all that far away from now. Too little, too late I'm guessin'.
Liberals are threatened by anyone with principles...especially principles they are willing to fight for!
"Lunatics" should never own guns...trouble is the far left whack jobs believe everyone who doesn't share their warped sense of reality is a lunatic.
