Poverty was created by Democrats? When was the last time people were deprived of something they needed to survive and turned around and were grateful to those that deprived them of the very thing they needed to survive? Does that make any logical sense? Of course not. Like most memes, even cursory examination exposes the silliness of the talking point. At the same time we have Republicans cutting unemployment benefits, food programs for kids (lazy little SOBs), food stamps, medical care, and farm subsidies because there isn't enough poverty in this country. We must make even more.
He assumes jobs are readily available. Show me where these millions of jobs are. Never mind, I know where they are: In foreign countries.
But their biggest meme is that businesses create jobs. Fine, then when they don't create jobs, they need to be held responsible. It works both ways, if you want to hand over everything to the "job creators", then there needs to be accountability for not creating jobs. Right now, the silence is deafening on the job creator side except for wanting even more tax cuts. Taxes are at their lowest point since the 1950's and where are all the jobs? The meme falls apart again. This country needs to stop socializing losses and privatizing profits.
Ask your party, heck ask fog-of-war...every defender of the BO presidency claims millions of job have been created since he took office. So, instead of asking me "where are the jobs?" ask someone who claims millions have been created under the reign of BO.
Are you asking about Government jobs? Or should the private sector hire people just because the president says so?
I'm not asking anything. clueless asked where the jobs were. My response was to direct him to the people who have claimed millions of jobs have been created under BO's watch...you being one of them. I doubt clueless would be allowed to put you on the spot so I'll ask you for him: Where all the jobs BO (and you) claimed have been created.
This isn't a "claim" as you put it. It's a fact. Not a subjective fact but a fact. Obama 6.1 private sector jobs in last 35 months. Bush 1 million jobs in 8 years. Fact!
Actually, in the case of the Keystone Pipeline, yes. And I am sure there are others just waiting for Obama to say yes. Oh, but he can sure do his best to kill the use of coal so the poor can no longer afford to heat/cool their housing. For someone supposedly so interested in helping employment, he sure has been doing his best to harm the economy.
On what was said on page one of this mess about we'll probably elect his governor....despite how many who know absolutely nothing about ca think we're a bunch of liberal hollywooders, ca has elected conservative governors more times than almost all other states: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Governors_of_California La and Sacramento are not the same place.
And when did the conservatives last control the Assembly and Senate? You know! The place where ALL bills originate and are passed.
Don't know, but that wasn't what I answered to. Just pointing out ca isn't the hippie enclave outsiders think it to be, just like I'm sure there are a few southerners who actually wear shoes despite what the rest think.
Businesses DO create jobs, just not in America. The republicans give businesses money and the businesses take it and manufacture their products overseas, then bitch that their taxes are too high. Well, provide Americans with jobs instead of foreigners, then Americans will be working and paying tax-dollars, reducing the need for businesses to contribute as much as they do...when they do contribute, that is. They get some hefty tax-exemptions.
Hey, I know...go ahead and open that pipeline, but as a condition, the oil companies have to actually take steps to mitigate spills, as in construction of dikes and reservoirs to contain them, all along the pipeline. They must hire American workers for the sections within America too. They wouldn't agree to such an expenditure though, since it's easier to just let all the contaminants flow into our water-systems and pollute our water-supply, and republicans agree with that stupidity. (claps) Good call. Way to screw the past, current and future populations of America and beyond. Bravo at making our water-supplies hopelessly contaminated with oil and the byproducts of it's drilling, transfer and use.
So, how does that work exactly? The left controls the White House & the Senate...how do "the Republicans" get that spending done all by themselves? The democraps claim the minority party blocks everything yet the majority party can't block this supposed partisan spending? You're in a fantasy world, you fool!
Yes, Bill Clinton should have proven to you that southerners wear shoes. He had a hard time wearing pants, however.
I have been saying the same thing for years. It has not sunk in yet. BTW, most presidents have managed to work with the opposing party. Nixon, Ford, and Bush 41 never had their party control of either the House or Senate and Reagan never controlled the Senate. On the other hand, Carter's party controlled both assemblies for his entire tenure and we can all see what happened there.
Hold on a minute! I'm confused...our two most vocal wingnuts (and BO apologists) seem at odds over an awfully basic piece of the far left's narrative- have millions of jobs been created under BO, as fog-of-war claims or have none been created, as clueless claims? Hmmmmm
