Maybe it was just an accident. And maybe in 1969, what would be DUI manslaughter today would have been just a slap and a tickle from the police. And maybe he did try to swim back and save her. And maybe she did drown quickly and didn't suffocate in a pocket of air quite a while later. But, going back to your hotel and catching some Z's and get up the next morning without reporting the probable death of a girl in the car that your were driving the night before? How do you go on to be in charge of anything after that let alone a force as a US Senator? I hope that, like DUI laws, voters have changed for the better since then but considering he died in office in 2009, I have to suspect not.
I am surprised Laura Bush was elected to a leadersh...oh wait. Never mind. She wasn't. But I do wonder if she reported the accident or when home to sleep first. Being in a fatal accident can be quite tiring from what I understand.
So our resident dumb & dumber are reaching for straws. Typical of their ilk, they are attempting to justify Kennedy's crime by pointing to accidents that involved a couple of Republicans. Geesh. Does it make you guys feel better about one of your liberal icons?
