Read my entire post David, and you'll see birth is where I ended that. Don't just read snippets and remark on those. Not asking a lot here, really.
Your argument is quite a slippery slope. My point is: life is life...a heartbeat, brain activity, fingers, toes...simple self sustainability isn't a good enough measure.
What? no "personal responsibility" applies? Just when DOES it then, at 18? Is that when you stop caring?
And at the time of Roe v Wade, it was generally considered 28 weeks. And 40 years from now, that might be 15 weeks. And 40 years after that, it might be 6 weeks. And 40 years after that, a fetus may have viability in a vat as soon as it is conceived. At that point, they can then be used as an energy source for the machines that will rule the world.
Apparently Harry Reid isn't a true baby killing liberal after all & may actually oppose abortion...he's just afraid to admit it aloud.
I think the picture is a fake. Since this seems close to birth shouldn't the baby's foot be close to the top and upside down?
Well now that the Supreme Court, with today’s ruling, has actually decided on the TRUE constitutionality, what do you have to say?
It never was a federal issue to begin with. It should be… And now is a local issue. The low information folks will never acknowledge this fact…. And besides, if it is a federal issue you stand a pretty good chance at having it done on the taxpayers dime.
I wish I were still a smoker. I would carry a full ashtray and dump it Maxine Waters vile mouth. What a hateful creature.
And DUMB! How do these folks keep being re-elected? This nation is in horrible condition when we have folks that keep electing politicians like her.
Life is not created in the womb, but continued. Conception requires live sperm to fertilize a live egg. Life began as depicted on the ceiling of the Sisteen Chapel, or in a pool of primordial slime. Your choice. (see I lke choice). When conception occurs, a unique human being is created with it's own unique DNA. Unique enough to convict it, not the mom, in a court of law. Trust the science.
Even though it's nothing more than a few cells that can't live on its own? You're really gonna tell me these are people with rights?
Now that I've read more opinions about abortion in the past 24 hours than I've seen in any prior 30 day period, I'm getting more clarity about how I feel on the subject. As I answered JN's inquiry in another thread, "One (abortion) is mankind’s way of addressing a desire, and the other (miscarriage) is nature’s way of addressing a need." If we cannot choose capital punishment for those convicted as a detriment to all, we surely cannot choose to snuff out those of which the same cannot be said.
I've addressed this before too. Animals "abort" their young constantly. Sadly they lack the technology to do it at what we'd consider an ethical time though, so read up on filial infanticide.
