Anyone keeping up with the Zimmerman trial?

Why do you own guns? Which reason are you going with?

*I'm not a hunter, in fact, I've never been hunting in my life.

 

For me? It's all three. The reason I asked iqless that question is, for one, he has made a habit of mocking gun ownership and secondly, he whines incessantly over not having any money....just pointing out his hypocrisy. Now what?

 

There's another reason David "forgets": Inheritance.

Some people, like David, have and state their opinion because they think they know everything about everything. The problem is, they don't know how to think so their opinions are just idiotic.

"Inheritance" would be the method of acquisition not necessarily the reason for ownership.

 

I think his inheritance would fall under your "collector item" category.

I don't own a gun for any particular reason. Should I need it to defend myself, it's there. Should I need to kill an animal to eat, it's there. Should I want to display it, it's there. Should I want to enjoy the hobby of shooting, it's there. Should I want to sell it for a profit, it's there.

Yes, they certainly say that. But, if they're using the "fear mentality" or "protection mentality" as their reasoning to call us whack jobs, what about people who have alarms on their homes for protection or because they don't want someone stealing their stuff? I have an alarm on my home, but to them I guess that makes me a whack job. LOL

 

There is another reason to own guns little Davy forgot. Nuts like him having free access to guns is always a good reason to own a gun. You know, little short fat guys that are born cowards and need the security of a gun and wouldn't hesitate to pull it on a Girl Scout trying to sell cookies on his property. Who wins in this scenario? The gun manufacturers.

I was seven when I first became interested in guns. Some people here will have a problem understanding how that can be, given my comments about idiots with guns.

They are simple people with simple opinions. As with children, you have to explain everything to them, because they simply don't know any better. So, I have to explain it to them. Oy

Idiots with guns is different than career-criminals with guns, and those are different than hunters with guns, etc. There's also cross-over between the groups, as no group is completely described using a word or two.

But, simple-people simply can't understand such "complexities", so they state idiotic opinions as if they were truth. They're not. They're just the result of simple-people thinking they know chit, where in reality, they don't know much about anything.
