I got it. Eliminating law suits after hiring criminals to meet and greet the public is racism. Makes perfect sense to me - NOT!

I can't see how that would fly in court as too many jobs require trust and dependability. My employer won't hire you if you've had a speeding ticket, regardless of race, and the federal government backs them up on it. Of course, and this goes for both sides, the government has been run by so many crooks and murderers for so long, I guess they don't see the problem with it.

But it is so racist. As a liberal, how can you justify not hiring "minority applicants who have committed a crime"? BTW, as a person with a modicum of sense, I plan on avoiding all such racist companies - and all news outlets who do not cover this travesty.

As I've said before, I'm neither liberal or conservative, so my justifications don't rely on stale, meaningless labels. I suppose if I started worshiping Reaganomics you'd start Reagan bashing all of a sudden too.

Sorry. Reagan may not have been perfect, but he sure as @$#%! beats the competition over the last 50 years.

You're so blinded by partisan lines you can't even see when I agree with you, RLM. I guess we'll have to disagree to agree or something like that.

Well, it sure ain't Carter of Obama. I guarantee you don't like Nixon, Bush, or Bush. That leaves Ford, Johnson, or Slick Willey. Humm? I wonder!

I'm both, though the republicans here would tend to disagree with me on that...and almost everything, really.

It's also one of the reasons I use "republicans" and Democrats" instead of "conservatives" or "liberals", as I believe half the people in America have a healthy balance of both...even if they don't realize it.

The problem, IMO, is the insane rantings of the far right-wing element within the republican party. They strike all the right chords of fear and distrust in people and feed those anxieties within their members...who should know better than to fall for such bs, but do.

On the Democrats side, there are some that are extreme too, but at least us Democrats understand they ARE extreme, and treat it as such, instead of allowing ourselves to become too wrapped-up in insanity to reason.

    IMO...

He can occasionally be reasonable...when other republicans (and Democrats too, myself included) don't get him riled. Once he gets riled, forget it...reasoning with him is useless at that point.

Even at his most reasonable, it's still like pulling teeth... no, pulling teeth is pretty easy lol...it's still like sitting naked on an ant hill...(thinks about it)...yeah, that analogy might work, but I'm not going to test it.

Eh, whatever...I feel no need to continue making attempts at getting any of the republicans here to act reasonably. I've made dozens of attempts, with varying success, but it always degrades, and quickly.

In other words: "Good luck with that"...;)
