Actually, I'm on a mobile device at a golf course in Maryland...waiting for my daughter's group to start the back nine. How's that? See, when you've worked hard, invested wisely & lived frugally you can do this sort of thing...and I do it with my teeth intact!!

Although I don't particularly like golf, I am in the same boat after retiring 15 years ago. Oh, and I never used my business computer for social media. I wonder if that may not be why IQ has a problem with jibs?

You chose to what? Mooch off others? Become a burden to society? Sit on an internet forum & whine about how miserable your life happens to be? Moan about why all your problems are someone else's fault? Hmmm, I guess when you put your mind to it, you can accomplish your goals. Good job!

So why are all the other libs/obama-zombies so quiet on this issue of employer mandates being pushed back (but not individual mandates)? You guys aren't being fair to iqless...he's been left to wiggle like a worm on a hook!

So now there's so much bureaucratic red tape involved we won't be able to determine eligibility? We have to rely on self reporting? Yeah , that's gonna work.

    Connecting the dots here....
BO has determined Obamacare isn't manageable so he suspended one of the major components, the employer mandate. This leaves millions of poor people still subjected to the individual mandate...millions who are in an even worse position than they were before because the same insurance premiums they couldn't afford last year are even higher today. Soooooo...BO has decided people should now self-report, self-assess their need for subsidized insurance.
Hmmm, how convenient. This is quite a "creative" way to get everyone onto the gov't insurance rolls without "forcing" them on. I guess in BO's "new normal" where people can draw unemployment benefits for years then go on disability it should be no surprise that BO would come up with smoething like this.

I don't know the whole situation, but to be fair, there always were provisions set in place in the bill to exempt some employers from the mandates. I know because my employer is one of them. However, it did not leave us on the hook as far as making us responsible for self-reporting or self-assessing our healthcare needs. In fact, nothing will has, or will change at all. I don't know if this is the case with everyone caught in this loophole, but if so I don't see how it's a bad thing. I'm thrilled with what I have.

The exemptions were made for unionized companies...if you will recall, BO traded expemption from Obamacare for the union's support of Obamacare. Also exempted were companies that employed 50 or more full-time workers. Since a unionized workforce wasn't an option for many companies seeking an escape from Obamacare, they have chosen to trim hours and jobs in order gain exemption.
So fast forward to now...the individuals are still required to purchase insurance but the workforce has shrunk and hours have been cut. BO is forcing folks into seeking multiple part-time jobs just to be able to afford to buy the insurance he's requiring them to purchase. So much for "affordable" part of his folly, huh?

If thats the case, then yes, thats pretty crappy. Most employers that have less than 50 employees probably don't pay enough for their employees to pay their own way. FYI, the company I work for is unionized with over 150,000 employees, yet the letter they sent out about Obamacare was neutral, not recommending a vote either way, as it would not effect us.

It wouldn't effect you because your employer & the unionized workers were exempted from Obamacare. The unions won that exemption by agreeing to publically endorse Obamacare....kinda like government employees, the constituents of Pelosi & Weiner, members of Congress & the residents of LA & NE....exemptions were traded in turn for support.
