I was going to post something about this, but I hadn't got around to it yet.

Someone want to point out the "BIG!" in this?

...besides the pile of bs, that is.

First off, there were "major" protests at the Libyan embassies immediately prior to the attacks there, due to the potential release of the "film".

The embassy was concerned about the protests and requested additional security, as a matter of procedure. Did they expect more security? During the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks? When every US-based person, company, embassy, etc. IN THE WORLD was also likely requesting more security due to that anniversary? I doubt it. Funding and staffing issues prevent such additional security during a normal day. A day like 9-11 is a whole different animal, and those funding and staffing issues would only get worse on a day like that. Limited funds. Limited staff. Word-wide. Are you getting that yet?

Yet, republicans still smelled the opportunity to make bs claims in order to confuse the public and win the upcoming Presidential election. They continue to spew this nonsense, because Hillary Clinton might run for the Presidency herself.

(To the reader): If you are interested in the facts of the event, and who said what, and why, by any means possible, do the research and make your own conclusions. Don't believe the bs spewed ever since the event, just because you may be a republican, or disavow the bs without researching the facts yourself, if you are not a republican.

UHM? If the secretary of State goes to jail for perjury, I think even the lame street media might just think that was "BIG" news.

But her during SWORN testimony 1-23-13, she point blank denied ever seeing such a request. Just ask Martha what happens to perjurers (and eligibility for the presidency).

 

This just won't go away. Someday we might even find out the truth.

Let me see! congress is investigating, but Obama is "unaware of the controversy." Such a great leader?

 

Let's see if the liberals try to bury this under the rug. If this is true, it's quite a revelation about the actions that Hillary took on the night of the attack.

On the night of Sept. 11, as the Obama administration scrambled to respond to the Benghazi terror attacks, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a key aide effectively tried to cut the department's own counterterrorism bureau out of the chain of reporting and decision-making, according to a "whistle-blower" witness from that bureau who will soon testify to the charge before Congress, Fox News has learned.​

That witness is Mark I. Thompson, a former Marine and now the deputy coordinator for operations in the agency’s counterterrorism bureau. Sources tell Fox News Thompson will level the allegation against Clinton during testimony on Wednesday before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif.​

Fox News has also learned that another official from the counterterrorism bureau -- independently of Thompson -- voiced the same complaint about Clinton and Under Secretary for Management Patrick Kennedy to trusted national security colleagues back in October.​

Extremists linked to Al Qaeda stormed the American consulate and a nearby annex on Sept. 11, in a heavily armed and well-coordinated eight-hour assault that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and three other Americans.​

Thompson considers himself a whistle-blower whose account was suppressed by the official investigative panel that Clinton convened to review the episode, the Accountability Review Board (ARB). Thompson's lawyer, Joseph diGenova, a former U.S. attorney, has further alleged that his client has been subjected to threats and intimidation by as-yet-unnamed superiors at State, in advance of his cooperation with Congress.​

Just a question for lil joe....politics aside and given the information that we have, don't you think the attack in Benghazi needs to be examined? I'm talking about the 4 dead US personnel, testimony that added security was requested (and denied) in the weeks leading up to the attack and reports that our people were pleading for help as they were being attacked. I don't think any of this is biased reporting or spin...forgetting the alleged cover-up...shouldn't the attack & the response of the State Dept be investigated?

 

If Republicans weren't interested in investing the 911 attacks, this seems pretty much inconsequential in comparison.

The UMd. database lists 64 attacks on American diplomatic targets during the George W. Bush administration. Where was FOX during those attacks?

Maybe Republicans shouldn't have cut funding for embassy security. That kind of thing tends to have consequences when resources are stretched and at this point it looks as if they don't want to talk about the lack of funding but they do want to point the finger at others. Hum? Maybe that is why nobody but FOX is pushing this garbage.

 

He would not care if 100 were killed - if it in any way besmirched Obama. No if a single right leaning person were to so much as truthfully accuse him of lying, he would go through the roof and accuse him of everything in the book.

Here is my answer. By even being willing to discuss this topic, it lends it credibility that it clearly doesn't deserve. Now, to Right-wingers, their response is, "Well, doesn't 4 dead Americans deserve answers"? That is a different question entirely, to which I say, there was an investigation and answers were given. All we have at this point is a innuendo driven which hunt purely for political purposes. The point of which is to try and discredit Hillary Clinton before 2016 because she leads any potential Right-winger out there by double digits. Now maybe you can use the phrase, "politics aside" again. That would be cute.

 

Accusations are all you have. That's not interesting.

 

See, you guys will not even acknowledge this. So cutting the funding for embassy security had no impact in your opinion? But crazy conspiracy theories fascinate you.
