Ooooooh, no. We like taxes that will actually help people unlike something unpopular like Obamacare. Now, back to the topic, how exactly does this affect the right of the students to vote?
But just think, with all that extra money to "invest", you could get speech lessons for that robo squirrel you Democrats are buying for us.
republicans politicians sure like to make it more difficult for non-republicans to vote. Evil little bastards that they are. It is obviously a corruption (of law and soul), but they are obviously quite content with being corrupt, and have been for a long time. I don't foresee the majority of them having any major epiphanies anytime in the near-future either. Too bad. The country could use the help instead of the disability they create. But, everything has a silver lining. These perversions of morality that they so love to manifest can also be a sign of desperation. Their base is scattering into it's various components (economic conservatives, social conservatives, crazy-eyed women, etc.) as each becomes more desperate to proclaim that their beliefs should be the focus for the party. Their talk about being more inclusive? Not a chance, not when they can't even include their own lol I've been waiting a long time for this fracturing, and not just that on the republican side. I'd actually like to see the Democrats break-up a bit too, but only after the republicans are left impotent politically. I'd rather have a dozen party's arguing and compromising on issues than the current two-party process. Yes, we have that (multiple points-of-view expressed in legislative voting) somewhat now, but representatives on both sides tend to put their constituents priorities to the back of the line when the party asks them to. An excellent example of that is the recent polling over whether or not "universal" background checks should be required when purchasing guns. The country hasn't united on an issue like this in some time.* *(arguably, the events after 9-11 qualifies, but IMO that was more a case of patriotic spirit or fervor than actual belief, especially considering how the Bush administration fabricated "evidence" of Saddam's "evil" intentions in order to convince the gullible among us that the invasion of Iraq was necessary.) So, go ahead and fracture, you corrupt, immoral party you. I have popcorn and I intend to eat it voraciously as you claw and scratch at each other for power. Now that's what I call entertainment!
Funny how this increased tax burden is acceptable to them, despite the republican mantra/pledge to never raise taxes. I guess it's fine for them to increase taxes as long as the targeted citizens are Democrats and the integrity of the voting system is corrupted in the republican party's favor. Any idea if any of those (republican legislators) signed that Sesame Street fat-asses' pledge to never raise taxes? Amen. And I'm not even religious lol
The first one is truth the second one is a question. I believe it went unanswered. I only wish that you were actually as clever as you think you are. You're not.
I had to unblock the content to see what the fuss was. I see you said "I try to never vote republican", and "I ended up voting for 6 republican candidates", and you were accused of lying on one or the other? Uh huh. I guess you could say reality is only real if you believe in it lol BTW, I forgive you for voting republican on six occasions, just try not to get so drunk (or whatever) during the next election. I mean really, did you hit your head or something? Sheesh!
He tries to be clever and pin me down but he never quite succeeds. He saves all of my old posts in a weird sort of hero worship/stocker kind of way and then tries his little heart out to nail me with some sort of inconsistent post. Since I am about 99% consistent, he flounders pathetically everytime. In this case I said that, I TRY TO NEVER VOTE REPUBLICAN. He compares that to me asking a question many, many posts ago where I stated that I ended up voting for 6 Republicans and asked why I might have done that. Although he didn't bother to ask why at the time, he now thinks he has nailed me. The answer was because they were running unopposed. He is a most foolish one.
(BTW, I fail to see the question there.) You had at least 3 options, but you CHOSE to vote Republican. You had to physically make an effort to vote for those - either that or you lied about how you voted
Did you ever hear of write-ins? Just think, you could have even voted for your idol - yourself. Let me see. What other choices did you have? Oh! That's right. See the post above. It might give you a clue. BTW, "As it turns out, I ended up voting for 6 Republican candidates." is still not a question regardless of what preceded or followed that statement.
It says a lot when you hear people voting based along party lines alone. People like that don't deserve a vote.
You're probably right, rlm. But then our options were dismal. The honest ones get weeded out early on because they don't fit the cookie cutter expectations of the parties.
Let's see. The economy is in the dumps. His polls on his economic policies are <40%. His Obamacare is still <50%. How is that Arab Spring thing working for him? His own party is upset at his gun policy and his yet-to-be-announced budget, but he still got elected with 90+% of his own race. I am sure you have some other explanation, but I see no alternative than straight party voting - just like you did or did not do depending on the tide of the moment.
Well, your opinion based primarily in your opinion and prejudices seems to be, well, just your opinion again... The stock market is at an all-time high, unemployment is dropping, Obama is by far more liked abroad than the war criminal you guys elected, we are exporting energy and decreasing dependence on foreign energy, and we actually have an auto industry. Bin Laden is still dead, we are no longer fighting the Iraq war, and in less than a year, we will no longer be in Afghanistan. The election went like this: The basic breakdown of Mr. Obama’s victory, according to exit polls. He won 93 percent of African-Americans, 71 percent of Hispanics, and 73 percent of Asians. He took 55 percent of the overall female vote, down only one percentage point from his comparable 2008 showing. Mitt Romney, meanwhile, won about 59 percent of the white vote. That’s the best a GOP nominee has done among whites since 1988, and not too long ago such a performance might have guaranteed a winning margin of 270 electoral votes. After all, whites still make up 72 percent of US voters. Now if you can dispute anything I've written with actual facts, please feel free.
