I referenced the NDAA. Click on the link in my post and you can read about it. We will see what Obama does with our right to bear arms. We will probably know sometime this week how he intends to trample it (if his past abuses against our rights are any indication), but rest assured, trample it he will.

 

I didn't see anything about Obama care or the Constitution in that link. Maybe you could point it out.

Oh... mercy. I never mentioned Obamacare. The ACLU is fighting the NDAA due its unconstitutionality (specifically, it's contrary to the Fourth Amendment). Here, this is from the article I referenced:

However, the single greatest infringement of our civil liberties in our lifetimes was the Patriot Act. Nothing, Obama has signed into law even comes close to what the Patriot Act did to our civil liberties in this country but you sat on your hands and defended that. Hum? Now you feign outrage? Too little too late.

 

It's really kind of telling how for 4 years, Obama did nothing to ban guns but you and your nutty fruit cake gun freaks used the lack of any conversation as "proof" that Obama was coming to take your guns.

Only after twenty 6 and 7 year olds were slaughtered in their classroom did Obama and the vast majority of the country want something done about high powered assault weapons and of course that also proves Obama going to come knocking on your door and ask you to handover your hunting rifle.

I think what it comes down to is that if you want to have a sane conversation about guns and their place in modern society, don't ask the insane asylum patients for their input. Now go sit down before we lobotomize you.

I've focused on the NDAA and Obama's threat to weaken the Second Amendment. Thanks for bringing up the fact that Obama has also infringed our liberties under the Patriot Act.

Obama himself didn't think the Patriot Act was "the single greatest infringement of our civil liberties in our lifetime". As a matter of fact, he said "it's an important tool":

1. Indefinite detention without trial (NDAA).
2. Surveillance of suspects without obtaining new warrants (Patriot Act).

On the topics of liberty and freedom, I'd give Obama a "zero" so far. Let's see what he does about the Second Amendment.

Who's paranoid? The NDAA and the Patriot Act are laws. They're in black-and-white. You can read them for yourself.
