How funny! Have you listened to what Matt Lauer and Dave Letterman have been saying to Mr. Gore? It sounds very familiar to me.

Sarah Palin and Fox have parted ways.

Wonder if Al Jazeera has any openings.

    Capitalism. Right?

I strongly suspect Palin's mores are considerably stronger than Gore's.

Hahahaha.. Yes, Letterman (himself no stranger to hypocrisy) grilled the hypocrite Al (Jazeera) Gore:

Al Gore has taken a lot of heat since finalizing a deal to sell his struggling cable network Current TV toAl Jazeera, the Qatari news service.
Predictably, the backlash started on the right, with numerous outcries from the pundits at Fox News, but Tuesday on “Today,” Matt Lauer pressed the climate-change activist on whether it was hypocritical for him to sell Current to a network financed by fossil-fuel money.

And last night it was noted interrogator David Letterman holding Gore’s feet to the flame.
On “The Late Show” Tuesday, Gore said he and partner Joel Hyatt founded Current to “have an independent voice for news and information.” Although he is “very proud” of what the network accomplished, Gore chalked Current’s failure up to the difficulty of being an independent network “in an age of conglomerates.”

Letterman asked about the stigma attached to Al Jazeera, which particularly during the early years of the Bush administration was seen by many as a platform for anti-American sentiment. Gore countered that it’s “certainly not” a propaganda outlet and that its coverage, particularly on the subject of climate change, is highly regarded.

From there he pressed Gore about selling Current “to a gas- and oil-supported emirate.”
“Is that one of the problems with global warming? Our dependence on petroleum-producing countries?” he asked.
After Gore replied in the affirmative, Letterman pushed on: “So you, Al Gore, are doing business with this country that is enabling your ultimate foe, climate change.”

Gore, who seemed prepared for Letterman’s line of attack, politely argued that Qatar has “ambitious plans” to develop solar and wind energy in the region, and once again cited Al Jazeera’s coverage of issues related to global warming.

Letterman managed to stump his guest with one, seemingly simple question: What does Al Jazeera mean in English? Gore confessed that he didn’t know, then joked he could Google it on his phone.
Wait, so does this mean “Jazeera” isn’t Arabic for “Gore”?

Thankfully, Al (Jazeera) Gore couldn't defeat George W. Bush back in 2000. After this sellout, we can keep him on the long list of hypocrites so prevalent on the Left.

Was it her half term governorship, trooper gate, her pregnant teenage daughter, or her phony death panel claims that brought you to that suspicion?

Maybe that would just be Gore's throwing his medals away. Do I need anything else?

Jon Stewart quizzes Al Gore on sale of Current TV to Al-Jazeera

Funny man Jon Stewart got serious on “The Daily Show” when he sat down with Al Gore to discuss the former vice president’s decision to sell Current TV to Al-Jazeera.

Stewart took a break from the jokes and quizzed Gore about his choice, saying he thought the agreement was strange given that Gore is an environmental activist.

“You had an opportunity to make a statement, probably, about your principles and some people would feel—and for me as well, I thought it was an odd move-- not because some of the other things but because it is backed by fossil fuel money.”

Gore stood behind his decision, touting that Al-Jazeera has “terrific climate coverage.”

“I am very, very comfortable with it,” Gore said confidently. “I completely get the criticism but this was a good choice… I completely believe in this.”

Stewart added that viewers may find it hard to get behind Gore’s environmental platforms because Al-Jazeera is “an oil based company.”

“Can you see how people at home might think ‘but he is asking me, in my life, to make choices about light bulbs for the purpose of sustainability’…that’s the issue.”

Gore said the network has announced a plan to shift to renewable energy, and he called Al-Jazeera the United States’ “strongest ally in the Arab world.”

Al-Jazeera has been criticized for having a pro-Islamist bent, and accused of working with members of Al Qaeda. One of its journalists was arrested in Israel in 2011 on suspicion of being an agent of the Palestinian group Hamas. Dave Marash, a former "Nightline" reporter who worked for Al-Jazeera in Washington, said he left the network in 2008 in part because he sensed an anti-American bias there.
The network is subsidized by the ruling family of oil rich Qatar.
Gore won the Oscar in 2006 for his documentary film about global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth."
Gore netted $100 million with his 20 percent stake in Current TV when it was sold for a reported $500 million.
