    And it got no better.

Isn't this another example of taking one extremist and painting the entire Left? I thought you were against that? Oh, that was in the other thread.

    Somehow I missed the parts where I;
Painted the entire left as anything.
Advocated any extreme partisan teaching in out public schools.
Could ever find any "happy middle ground" of political indoctrinations in our public schools.

Really? You just found this Fox article of interest and you had no partisan thoughts at all? Tell yourself whatever you have to I guess.

Partisan thoughts - sure I did. But just how does that excuse any partisan indoctrination in our schools? Any, ever, for either side? Funny, but I do not recollect seeing any such objections about the indoctrinations of the right.

I don't mind punditry from pundits or politics from politicians, but when teachers take it upon themselves to interject their biased, personal beliefs into the educational system at the expense of the students I think a line needs to be drawn. In this case, the person who needs to be told to "get out of the class" would be the teacher. Permanently.

This story reminds me of the "MMM.. MMM.. MMM.. Barack Hussein Obama" indoctrination song from a few years ago:

Now you are asking me how your partisan or my partisan thoughts excuse "indoctrination" your word, in schools? I never said it did. But you claim you aren't painting the Left using this one extreme example. Why don't I believe you? And yes, both sides as I have pointed out try to paint the other side with extremists. I think that has been established. It doesn't make it true but the truth is both sides here do it just as equally and pointing the other side out for doing it really just gets into "my uncle can beat up your uncle" territory. So why point out that the other side uses extremists to paint everyone of their opponents if you are going to do the same thing?

"Paint the left" implies, at least to me, the entire (or at least vast majority) of a group. I certainly hope the entire left does not indoctrinate students like that and I have met more then a couple who do not.

I have met my share of conservative teachers and we have seen some of their excesses posted here in the past. I just think that there are those that see ALL teachers as Left when in fact teachers have any number of political leanings. Should they bring their political beliefs into the classroom? Hell no! I don't care if they are Left or Right, they should keep it to themselves and just teach the curriculum.

    Excuses?
I fully believe there are many teachers from both sides. Now, professors come close to exclusivity - particularly my school.

    Excesses not excuses.

I wish. But that is another fallacy. Visit a business school some time.

    Sorry Excesses?

Yes, it has a very good Industrial and Labor Relations and Business School - and, yes, very liberal. The last stat I saw placed them at 96% liberal. I will bet that 4% does not exclusively work in the business school.

And there are those who paint ALL teachers as Right... but, I would bet that ratio is far less than the inverse. There's a perception that many teachers have a bias toward liberalism and I would say that perception is well-earned.

    Bravo!

Actually the bias is towards open-mindedness. That just tends to be a liberal quality.

A key part of the definition of the word liberal is open-mindedness, or in a political context, favoring or permitting freedom of action, especially with respect to matters of personal belief or expression. If you look up the definition of liberal or liberalism they almost always use the term open-minded or broad-minded. Look up the definition of conservatism and I doubt many of those definitions will contain either of those terms.

You can define it any way you desire, the mere post demonstrates how untrue your "open mindedness" is.
