The party of old white guys?

Lip service and token minority participation is no substitute for real color blindness. The Republican Party just doesn't get it and doubt that they ever will. I not only "know" people that fit into the minority category, I live in a neighborhood with people considered minorities, work with people considered minorities, I am related by marriage to the minority community. I don't live in a racial ghetto like many of you do. If you can drive around your neighborhood and only see white people in other cars, you probably live in a white ghetto.
I am better able to recognize the inequalities than any Republican out there. They are all clueless ideologues that ignore their own party's policies and behaviors and try to lecture me and even minorities about racism. The fact that 90-95 percent of African Americans vote Democat says that nearly all of them are smart enough to know who is against them. Calling the entire group a bunch of people that are just looking for free stuff will undoubtedly raise that number closer to 100 percent. Keep ignoring your own party boys and keep characterizing minorities as stupid lazy people and they will keep voting for the Democrats. You are just helping us.

 

Try as he might to re-direct the discsussion, the fact of the matter is that when BO had a choice, he appointed "old white guys" to the highest posts in his admin.
"old white guys" has been a consistent criticism leveled against Conservatives by lil joe moen. So which is it lil joe?

Now last I checked "Negros" aren't the only folks that vote. So even if 90% of them vote Democrat it still dpesn't mean that 90% or anywhere close to that number should be elected to office.
I reckon a lot of them vote for white guys that happen to be Democrats.

As for "Uncle Tom" and "Aunt Jemima" I am surrounded by white, right wingers at work and I'll admit they don't use those phrases nor do I.
I do hear "nigger" way too much though and it's not coming out of my mouth.

BTW, I have no idea why you think if 90% of the "Negroes" are Democratic it would not logically follow that something around 90% of "Negroes" in office would also be Democratic unless perhaps the Republicans were more willing to vote for someone outside of their own race or the "Negroes" belonging to the Republican party were somehow more (significantly more?) electable than those in the Democratic party.

 

Well, based on your reply, it appears you did miss the point. See, lil joe moen has made a habit of repeating the far left narrative that Conservatives all tend to be old, white guys (used as a pegorative) and because they are old, white guys they are automatically out of touch with the country (again, for no reason other than they are old, white guys). So what does BO do? When given the opportunity, he appoints old, white guys to the highest posts in his admin. Now, the reason for my post was to point out the hypocrisy here. Why are conservative, old, white guys vilified by the left (for being old & white) yet somehow democrat, old, white guys are ultimately the most qualified to serve BO? Just seems moronic (typical?) how the left continues to advance that tired old narrative.

It has nothing to do with "attacking" Republicans. It has a lot to do with "attacking" stupidity though. The Republicans are their own worst nightmare and I'd like to see it change for the better of all of us.

You left out ONE word in your first post about this rlm. I bolded it for you. Democratic. It plays into the context heavily.

Elected to office and elected to Democratic office are two different things.
Add in that I don't think "negros" (prove me wrong) account for 90% of Democrat candidates.
In addition I'll add (again) that "negros" aren't the only ones to vote. Forget that?

I'll let you in on a little secret. When the Miller Boys get together with our families, the 'Minorities' outnumber the 'Whities' more than 2 to 1.

I won't pretend to know which party every one of my family votes but I do know quite a bit and most every one in our family is quite conservative.

And I do know that if someone showed up with that Uncle Tom crap, they might not make it home. Nothing more dangerous in this world to an unaware bigot than a pissed off, quarter black, half hispanic, quarter redneck named Miller.

I would suggest that you all take a look at Obama's current cabinet and tell me that it is just a bunch of old white guys. Two recent appointments of decorated military veterans to military/intelligence positions do not constitute an all old white guy agenda. Heck, they aren't even both from his party. And if you can find female decorated war veterans with as much experience as these guys, then you would have something to bark about. We tended not to let women in combat at the time these guys were serving. That more than anything limits Obama's choices. Catch a clue folks.
